Who has a similar playstyle like Cable from MVC2

This always annoyed me because I could never figure it out, but during his victory animation when his Techno arm comes out, does he say “Open up for now” or something else? At one point I thought he said “That’s enough for now”, but that seems unlikely. Might see later today.

Yeah, “That’s enough for now”, as he rests to recover from the effects of the T-O virus.

It’s a decent way to DHC to him but otherwise why waste meter that way unless you’re showing off. =\

Well yeah, he’s a solid character, it just seems like he has a lot of moves that are inexplicably weak ( only situational/pre-emptive AA options, slow guns, grenade hyper that doesn’t juggle or connect full screen ), as if they were trying to compensate for something else, when he doesn’t seem to have that something else.

But… this thread is about cable, and how there’s no real MvC3 cable because they’ve dissected the character into so many pieces. And even the remnants of him have nothing like Cable’s grenades and such, though reminiscent of that Dormammu can sort of control aerial space with his pillars.

If they were to add Cable to MvC3, I’d rather they give his moves to a different character (like they should have done with Sentinel)

Even do this is not a request/petition thread, I’ll love to see all the top tiers come back, definitely including Calble, Blackheart, Strider, and Spiral. (and Cyclops too!)

Right now I don’t think no one plays close to Cable at all, but the closest one I’ll say is Deadpool, then Chris in 2nd.
Dormmamu is closest to Blackheart’s keepaway, but not the other tecnics at all like demons spam and others.
Arthur is definetly closest to Spiral, but with less mobility and better super. IMO

Chris’s grenade hyper can be comboed into after L Boulder Punch. Both of his L1 hypers are easily comboed into but are terrible when used by itself. He’s made to control the ground and you have to setup his lockdown properly or it won’t work.

This, it really doesn’t matter what shell they put on it, so why not just stick to the original?.. Tho I’d be fine with giving Chris linking grenade launchers back while we’re at it. Should give him air nades too

Unlike Cable, Modoks Lvl 1 is balls without some smarts. Also Cable had much better normals and could arch his beam and super to hit low crouchers. Now I love me some MODOK but he’s no cable. Cable would eat MODOK alive if he was in this game? Shield? Psionic what?

more like do you really want someone who can full screen instantly punish people like sentinel and arthur, have a great AA assist that can get teleporters off your back like phoenix and wesker, and could have decent blockstring rushdown with dr dooms rocks?

DOOM’s Rocks stop teleports Nickguy, if you are looking for something like that.

I doubt Marvel will ever let Cable back in sadly.
