Only part of SF4 I miss.
The adblock thing, is a clever move, I’ll applaud them for that. I haven’t been on their site in over 3 years though.
They just want to feel and make it seem like they’re on some better shit now, kind of like what Dark Prince is doing.
I still check it out, because SRK can’t put up anything resembling news with a decent response time.
Still have to wade through incredible amounts of horseshit, but still. Their front page is more active than SRKs by a long shot. Quality, not so much, but SRK is sometimes days behind things.
Eventhubs is very good as a news source. They also have some nice tutorials, comparissons, and the hitbox data for SF4 is priceless.
I never post comments in the news section, and I try not to read them.
They had a very cool feature - on every friday they listed all events that were happening during the weekend - I don’t know why that feature article is gone, it was very informative.
I like when they post up tech or tournament results
It doesn’t seem too bad for me but they are biased with news.
It’d be cool if another website like EH was made just to shit on it

I pumped up both of this at the same time. YO ULTRA!
No big loss. I used to visit for news but stopped after the increase of non-news articles like PC costume mod videos and LianghuBB videos. SRK posts actual news or shit that’s genuinely interesting (excluding Dive Kick and LianghuBB videos) so no skin off my ass.

Could EH and SRK at least post Scrublords videos? They get more hits then any LianghuBB video by far and are far more entertaining.
Maybe, nobody ever seems to send in Scrublords vids on the tip line though while someone always sends in LiangHuBBs stuff (no, I actually don’t follow him on YouTube)…

everyone thought they could do an SRK when SF4 arrived on the scene. I know we have our issues/gripes but still we stand strong an have never been put through some pay or get out. Ish they posted for you to “see” can be found with a google search… I know it cost to do a site and in that you need to do more than just force folks. especially if the product is ish we can get with simple work, questioning…etc.

what really cracks me up… is the fact folks have ALREADY came up with a script workaround… I think some folks don’t realize the minds that are part of the FGC as a whole. Seriously we have some brilliant minds in our community.
If you were spending more time playing rather than checking websites, this wouldn’t be a problem.
I check Eventhubs for news and what not. Quick glances and rarely click on the links for their full stories. My way of circumventing this new BS is to use their RSS feed for headlines. If it gets any worse, I have no problem ditching them completely. They seem like douches anyway.

scrublords is posted in teh fighting game comedy thread but thats it…
Another point is we have srk front page writers that post within our forum (ie dev) a LOT of folks seem to fail to send them stuff. yes just SEND them with an explanation. Not hard at all we as users/members fail at taking advantage sometimes but can cry about what we see on the front page.
