Hello Everyone,
This is goflotsam. As we’re approaching the end of Street Fighter IV’s lifecycle, I would like to ask the
question “Who are the Five Gods of Ultra Street Fighter IV”? When I’m talking about the gods, I’m talking about
who are currently the five most dominant players in the ring.
My thoughts on the five gods are: Momochi, Umehara, Luffy, Infiltration, Xian.

But seriously. You can’t pinpoint just 5 in SF. The competition is too damn high that anyone from the top 50 could win EVO.

Daigo, Momochi, Infiltration, Xian
5th is a tossup between many players
This isn’t like the old days where Daigo and the like where head and shoulders above the rest. The competition have caught up and now everyone is so close and the skill gap is so small at the highest levels. Someone could be top dog one year then fall of the next due to so many other players being that damn good. Can’t wait to see how players transition to SFV though.
Momochi, Infiltration and Daigo had periods of outright dominance where nobody could touch them at all.
Then I have a big list of players that are too strong, but never stood with a bullseye on their head: Gamerbee, Tokido, Bonchan, Fuudo, Xian, Kazunoko, PR Rog and maybe Mago. I can’t pick two out of these.
Daigo, Infiltration, Momochi, Xian, Gamerbee in no particular order. Tokido, Fuudo, Bonchan, Poongko and PR Rog also deserve mentions.

He’s the most consistent top player in the game. Always considered at least top 5, during long periods of his career untouchable and has been playing since day 1.
Daigo, Momochi, Tokido, Kazunoko, Bonchan…possibly Nemo in there.

The 8 year old that humiliated Strider 801 at EVO with Cowboy Ken. The funny looking dude who kept spamming Elena’s healing. And of course, the top pick of them all, Momochi…'s…girlfriend.
Like JD said, it’s hard to pick these days. PR Balrog deserves credit for consistently placing Top 8 though.
