Who actually does low damage?

If you’re considering effort Vs. damage instead of potential, yeah, it does. Which is what I was referring to with my other statement.

If Strider does, for example, 500k with LMHS MMHS super and lets say Thor, Hulk, Magneto get 700k doing the same thing. But if Strider does LMHS QCB+Sx2 QCF+S LMH MMHS and hits that same 700k, well obviously he is -potentially- capable of matching their damage. But since they hit it in more simplistic form, his damage is comparatively lower from a direct standpoint. It might not be low in the grand scheme of things, but it’s still “low” if effort is given priority over potential.

you need to widen the range. as of now, all seem to be trucks lol. make a 500,600,700,800 bracket etc with their bnbs including 1 bar. that’s actually more meaningfull.

The thread is kind of confusing to be honest as the titles says “who actually does low damage?” yet all you seem to be discussing is combos. What dictates how a character is actually supposed to be played, how meter is actually supposed to be spent or how damage is actually supposed to be dealt? Example, Storm does mediocre damage in combos but her Hail Storm does insane ammounts of chip damage when the meter is spent on it. Is it costly? Yes, but is it worth it in the right circumstances? Yes, because the damage is good. I know, the thread isn’t “who actually does good chip damage?” or “who actually has good resets?” but you’re trying to talk about damage in general so there shouldn’t really be any generalizations on what constitutes good/bad damage or what is/isn’t worth it.

The thread has already done what I wanted it to do at this point. The fact that people want like real tier lists for this shit is just icing on the cake I guess. I’m not really gonna spend the time on it but, if someone else wants to do it like I said I’m down.

I protest Morrigan being low damage in ultimate. I had 430k meterless bnbs in Vanilla, and could take doom missiles on them to break 450, if that’s the criteria, she did low damage because Finishing Shower was ass, leaving her unable to practically break ~560k with it. you could however break 650k with a not inhumanly difficult Astral Vision loop, even if it was legitimately hard. soul Fist flight cancel combos are so easy now, along with the soul fist damage buff, that breaking 700k with a single finishing shower is quite possible and practical with some actual practice.

And yes, I know I’m late to the party.

"**TRUCKS (500+k before super, NO XF, without assists): Akuma, C.Viper, Captain America, Chris, Dante (with tough, but Nini says not impractical execution via shot loops) Dark Phoenix, Dorm, Dr.Doom, **Doctor Strange, **** Frank West (level 3 plus?), Haggar, Hulk, Iron Fist, Magneto (magnetic blast loops), Nemesis, GROWN ASS MAN (Nova), Phoenix Wright (turnabout), Ryu, Sentinel, Spencer, Super Skrull, Taskmaster, Thor, Tron Bonne, Wesker (no glasses)

Solid Damage: (450+K before super with or without assists): Ammy, Arthur, Chun Li, Deadpool, Felicia, Ghost Rider, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Jill, MODOK, Phoenix Wright (non TB), Rocket Raccoon, She Hulk, Spider Man, Strider Hiryu, Trish, Vergil, Wesker (glasses on), Wolverine, X-23, Zero

Low Damage: Firebrand (for now), Hsien Ko (think so), Jean Grey Phoenix (think so), Morrigan (think so), Storm,"

This makes no sense the more i look at it. Why in the hell is MODOK in solid damage when he’s got 850k meterless combos?

And again since this game is all about ending combos with meter anyways I really don’t see the point of looking into it like this. Things like high damage lvl 1 hypers, meter building, and access to lvl 3’s or good DHC’s tend to be what people are referring to when they say “So and so does no damage”. ****

Well honestly you care about the list more than I do. The list is practically just a troll list and not something to take seriously. Hell Spider Man probably does 850k meterless and I just don’t know it yet. Who cares? Not me cuz I’m not going to spend the time editing the list. That’s your job now.

I got what I wanted which was seeing who does low damage. The others including yourself are the ones that want to make a real tier list out of this and I hope one of you guys do make it. I already got what I want so I can’t help you. Well…I can help you but it’s only to post up on the front page what you and other people come to a consensus on.

I just wanted to see if anybody really did this low damage that people always complain about. If you guys want a whole serious ass tier list about who is the biggest truck…**start working on it. **

Sure supers and meter build play a role, but Firebrand obvious is having a problem off breaks if he can only get 375 before the super.

people don’t rate fanatiqs magneto ?

he prob has the best out of everybody , even marlinpie , ray ray , man , yipes

Grown ass man is such a dumb, retarded thing to call Nova.

That’d be like calling most of the cast “grown ass men”.

I really want to see what people can do to up Firebrands damage. I’m a secret big fan of his.

You’re gonna have to talk to Yipes about dat grown man stuff.

here’s my really really simple combo you can do with Shuma for solid damage in a corner. No charge inputs required.

Input is : Cr/Stnd L -> Crouching Med -> Crouching Heavy -> Jumping Med -> Jumping Heavy X2 -> Jumping Med -> Jumping Heavy X2 -> Jumping Med -> Jumping Heavy X2 -> Launcher -> Jumping Med -> Jumping Med -> Jumping Heavy -> Jumping Special -> OTG Relaunch -> Jumping Med -> Jumping Med -> Jumping Special -> Hyper Mystic Ray. 628k, 454k before hyper,

I thought Vergil could easily break 500k dmg without super.

does his MMH5H 623L (H) jMHS MH 214L MHS sj MMH2H 3Hdoes 500k+?

I will. And I’ll win.

If anyone sees any crazy firebrand damage stuff, show meeeeeeeeeeee. Otherwise, I was happy to see Chun-li breaking 400k and with some pretty awesome flashy combos.

Chun li got infinite. so infinite dmg no?

Fanatiq and Marlinpie have Magnetos on par with each other, but Fanatiq took much longer to bust out into the scene whereas Marlinpie’s Magneto looked godlike from the beginning. That and Fanatiq doesn’t really do anything too stylish other than having insane hit confirms and I’d say that’s part of being a Marlinpie.

No counting infinite stuff!

Atleast, in my book anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

Rayray has a ridiculous mags.

Even basic Chun li combos break 500k.

(j.:h: j.:s:) c.:m: :h: :hcf::h:~:h: j.:d::m: air dash j.:h: :m: :h: c.:h: :s: sjc j.:d::m: j.:d::m: :h: :h: Hyakuretsu double jump j.:m: j.:m: j.:h: :h: Hyakuretsu triple jump j.:m: j.:m: j.:h: j.:s: does like 480-500k before super. The only problem is if you want to OTG and super you need an OTG assist or a long lasting assist like Dante’s jam session to combo into it.

RayRay’s Mags is more stylish and damaging but Fanatiq has better fundamentals and hit confirms. Once he stops using that 430k fly combo as his fullscreen BnB and moves up to 540k-610k Magnetic Blast combos, I’m sure most will agree he has the best Ultimate Mags.

The problem with the whole combo thing is that it doesn’t take keepaway/chip into consideration. Even if Task’s combo’s were ass, his arrows would still hit like a Sentinel.
