Because no animals were ever killed off in Australia before whites got there >.< More like the whites got there and started writing the stuff down. If the whites want to be isolationists then let them. 90% of Africa is groups of all blacks anyway. 1 tiny .05% group of whites wanting their own land is hardly anything.
The thing that you aren’t grasping (and this is coming from a fellow Australian) is that, while white people like us aren’t the root of all problems today, we completely changed landscapes when we took over. So yes, while aboriginals were killing animals to survive, they weren’t industrializing them, hunting them for large scale business, etc. They also lived off of (and still do) various berries, herbs, edible ointments, some tree barks, etc.
if you dislike civilized life then you can drop your internet, luxury items and live off of the land. But if you’re going to keep on living this lifestyle then its hypercritical of you to complain when whites expanded their lands and gave poor uncivilized humans a way out. Cures from diseases, industry, easy food. But hey if you don’t like all of the benefits that come with whites then go ahead and go back to a difficult lifestyle because you have some twisted mindset that being poor, sick, starving, jobless and no shelter is a good thing.

just what was expected. it never fails. “we saved them” is the typical response. everytime i hear that remark, all i can think to myself is, “saved them from what? singing and dancing and hunting??”. there was only one group of people who were being “saved”…take your wildest guess who they were and what they were being saved from.
in any case, what people like yourself don’t seem to understand is this very simple concept…different societies and different cultures have different VALUES. this is what it all ultimately boils down to…VALUES (values so long as they aren’t detrimental to anyone else’s health/life, are acceptable). those societies were doing just fine without foreign intervention. they had family, safety (relatively), community, and everything else that promoted their general well-being,…you know, things that people actually find VALUE in. did they ask for any of those things you mentioned? NO. don’t be confused. those are things that the FOREIGNERS valued…and therein lies the problem—one group who refuses to accept or comprehend that their interests, their culture, and their presence is NOT and NEVER was desired. take another wild guess which group i’m referring to.
finally, if you think those societies were living in destitution, then our discourse is over. it simply informs me that you’re just another unsurprising example of typical western conditioning and programming.
LOL, people are dumb… not only do whites increase animal extinction they also either wipe out the native human inhabitants in lands they invade, or breed them out through forced miscegenation. There were more animals in Australia when whites arrived and now there are less, with the remaining animals all facing extinction… Australia has the worst mamal extinction record in the world, not Africa.
Just 2 years ago the Brazilian government discovered a tribe in the Amazon that lived completely isolated from the outside world until now. To everyone’s knowledge this tribe wasn’t experiencing starvation, poverty or diseases… Now they’re extinct, wiped out, every last one because they came into contact with so-call civilised people who wanted a piece of there land.
