No, the problem is that it can’t be taken for granted that people with at least double digit IQs will automatically understand by all that what he did was worse; it’s a truism. How dumb do people have to be that a person can’t take for granted that it’s understood that a double murder is worse than a choice of breakup date? How the fuck do we know she even intended this in the first place? And how public was it? For all we know the husband could ahve done some stupid shit, she took him to the side and told him this is it and a few days after the birthday we would be breaking up? There is no reason to defend her. Shooting someone is wrong and most people know and realize that. What the dude did is wrong and most people know this, it’s not up for debate. What is up for debate is turning a birthday party into a fiasco, which murder aside, is still a dick ass move to do.

Damn, can you imagine being the ten year old girl and coming back to and realizing that both your sister and your parents are dead. Even worst, if you were a witness to it all. How would you even recover from that on an emotional and psychological level?
Half you guys making comments about the situation have no idea what actually went on in this household within this family before all this went down. Domestic violence is a complicated subject that many people know very little about. We don’t know what drove the mother to announce to her husband she was leaving him at her daughter’s birthday. One can not judge when one does not know…
But the thing is it’s not really a bitch move at all. Violent murders don’t like this don’t happen in a vacuum. This was a very disturbed man who was likely a bad alcoholic/addict with a history of domestic violence, and if people think that it didn’t extend to his daughters they are being naive. Was she suppose to tell him in private where she knows she will be in danger?
As for the daughters being “traumatized” about the divorce, are you kidding me? This is a guy that beat the shit out of their mom and more than likely them, that birthday just became and extra special day.
