Everyone hates the minority. A white guy in an Arab nation is going to get the abuse that you would typically associate with being a minority (the exception being white guys with a lot of money and close ties to the government). Wander out of the heavily protected (mainly by US troops) safe zones and the chances of the last thing you ever hear being “Infidel!” increase dramatically. You don’t see that happen here because, well, in America whites are the majority.
