If they nerf poison and idk why we are talking about nerfs. They’ll probably take some hit advantage back and give her more power. But we got the tekken girls for that.
I’d rather she stayed the way she is. She seems complete.

Are you guys seriously seeing Poison as such a great character? Cuz so far nothing seem to indicate me of such, she’s looking like an okay character, but not high-tier material. Any footage that would show something clearly over the top for competitive play?
She looks really solid, considering all we know so far. She has no glaring weaknessess, has good pokes, her dash and backdash look absurdly good, a good footsie game, decent damage, decent walk speed, decent anti airs, and possibly a good mix up game.
If Poison did had godlike damage, with all of the tools she already have, she would be broken.
I’m perfectly fine the way she is now.
I love the people in this thread I have to say. Everyone seems so knowledgeable and reasonale and we are able to discuss things on a consistant basis. There are other threads that seem to have way less activity and much more stubborn people. I wish I could add everyone in this thread lol.
ON topic: Poison being nerfed truly scares me and I hope it doesn’t happen. I was wwatching the match videos earlier and her health is terrible and her only real weakness. Characters whose health is their main weakness tend to be quite powerful at least high-mid tier ( Yun,Viper,Phoenix,Chun in SF3). I see a pattern problem is only one of those characters have gone without being nerfed and the one was when capcom had no means to do so.
BTW who do you guys plan to put with poison? I obviously want Cody with her but would accept Alex,Lee,Vega,or Hwoarang to a much lesser extent. I would love Eagle but thats a dream lol.
Makoto if she makes it in the game. Poison is pretty high on my list of characters I will play as, maybe not main though.

i’ve said it multiple times, shes decent, not a bad character by any means but not freaking fantastic either. Poison is literally Middle ground. again there are things i wish were better with her like Fixing the way her DP works and maybe giving her a floor/ground bounce, then i’ll say shes good. because Nina, Kazuya, Ken, and a few others get meterless ground bounces.
oh well i guess we gotta work with EX rekka. i’ll see if i can figure something out without spending hella meter.
its too early to take tools away from anyone but kazuya. Wtf is really good with his damage output and just overall better than everyone else-ness.
yeah I agree if anyone needs a nerf right now it’s Kazuya. He has pretty much everything you could possibly ask for and yeah it sucks that quite a few characters (mostly on the tekken side) get free ground bounces while we have to spend meter for ours but it is what it is I suppose.
Of the announced character I’m thinking about Kazuya or Bob.
I honestly don’t know exactly who will be on my team(s). Currently, I’m just excited for Julia and King the most out of the confirmed.
I’m debating on using someone like Hwoarang,Kazuya, or even or even if sodom or bryan is in, it will be one of them. Poison now has to fight my lili to see who will be the lead of my team lol

Regardless of tiering, I’ll use both Poison and Rolento - I just happen to dislike the entire roster so far.
Concerns about Kazuya should be talked about in the Kazuya thread.
The game isn’t out yet and nothing is final, so nerfs and buffs are bound to happen every single build. For every character.
I think kazuya would be a good partner for poison. She can set up traps and Kazuya and use his damage to punish their opponents.
He could make up for her low damage and she can use her normals to either keep on her opponent and or keep them away to switch out.
I wonder how zangief would do with Poison.
I mean his normals are pretty good and if he can combo into a lariat and green hand (Green hand for sure) then i think they would be a pretty good group.

anyways i had a few i did myself and others i thought about and they are hypothetical
Yoshimitsu- This guy has alot of good moves he can tag cancel to create good mix ups.
Low spin kicks obviously hits low, and since it continues like a tatsu, when you tag cancel you can go for a mix with this move easily. Same with his “slap you silly” backfists so you can go for a low or cross over mix up. His sword spin attack sucks in the opponent like seth’s move and it seems to put you into block stun, so you can tag cancel this for a nasty crossover mix up.
Marduk- This is random right? anyways i’ll explain. Gator Slam can actually be tag canceled into another juggle, so if your thinking what im thinking~ they’ll be in a world of hurt. also one of his tackles actually wall bounces so combined with a tag cancel this can lead into some good damage or mix-ups.
Edit: I think EX gator slam is that spin move he does to throw the opponent to wall for a wall bounce…
Raven- Raven actually has alot of good High/Low Mix ups so combining his shadow step specials with a tag cancel will always keep your opponent guessing.
Poison- well actually when you talk about partners most people forget to talk about the other character they are playing.
Poison’s Whip of Love is actually one of her best moves to tag cancel from given that you actually hit it. Only during Pressure Situations should you tag cancel her HP Aeolus Edge, you also must do this very fast as her fireball dont last for very long, and the block stun isnt either. but its little risk for high reward.
I don’t like how Poison and Raven look together, and that’s huge for me lol
They must look good together, that’s why I want either Poison / Kazuya or Poison / Bob
I’ll put Raven with Kazuya or Jin (if he gets in)
