Hi, I’m new to these forums. I hope I’m posting in the right place too ._.
Anyway here’s my problem. I got a PS2 controller and adapter for SF4 but I don’t seem to be getting any better now and I have trouble pulling off some advanced moves so I wanted to get a stick. So does anybody know any good quality sticks for PC?
I recently picked up a Hori Fighting Stick 3 for my PS3 and my PC, it seems to be working pretty nicely for me, though I can’t wait until my octagonal gate gets here, it’s weird having to re-learn how to play. Then again, the square gate rocks for charge characters…
if you get the TE make sure its the xbox one, because the ps3 one isnt compatible with all motherboard chips like Nvidia
i like the TE myself although i wouldnt get one if SF4 is the only fighting game u plan to play on the PC (assuming u dont own a console), unless u wanna dish out $120+ … imo the hori FS3 is best bang for buck(~$44), you should research it though to make sure its compatible with ur computer
If you want a stick that doesn’t cost much but can be upgraded easily later on then gt the Madcatz SE stick. From the few reviews that I’ve seen that has compared the Hori FS3 with the Madcatz SE, all of them claimed the SE’s stock parts were better than the FS3’s stock parts.
I have a Hori FS3 and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The buttons are very unresponsive and loose. The stick itself doesn’t register inputs accurately. No where to rest your palms and the button layout is horrible. My right wrist would start hurting after playing for like 30-45 mins on it cause the buttons are so shitty and the layout is so bad.
If you want a stick that’s all good straight out the box then get a Madcatz TE stick. Its heavy so it sits on your lap nice. Has a lot of room to rest your palms/wrists. Comes with genuine arcade quality buttons and joystick. It’s the best bang for your buck in my opinion.
But if you get any stick make sure its an XBOX360 one so that you won’t have compatibility problems.
