lmao wtf
Yeah he is. Easily.
Samurai Shodown 2
Dandy J:
That Hanzo was very good, might even be the best as you say. But maybe it was the Galford he was facing (BTW, I thought Slash Galford was considered to be the better one? I used to play Bust Galford and thought he scrubby as hell , but I’ve never taken Slash seriously), but I’m looking at that, and the shit that Sogetsu can do, and Amakusa’s generally crap, and and I still think it’s not on the same level. Lots of characters get stupid stuff when they’re POWed, after all, but that doesn’t mean they get to kill you the way Sogetsu does (BTW, I thought the setup for Sogestu was the same as the goal itself: Spout x N. You only need one knockdown to screw the other guy over after all).
Now you could very well be right, since you know more about SS in general than I do. But I’m pulling Doubting Thomas here, and until I see a Hanzo matched up with and equivalent Soggy and see them go at it, I’m still not convinced that Slash Hanzo is on the same level of brokeness as Soggy.
Anyway, fuck SSIV. SS2 and SS0S 4 LIFE. I’d say Tenka as well, but I honestly still haven’t played it sniff.
Kinda off-topic, but of ‘Stop doing this shit in combo videos!’, since it seems that thread is dead and/or locked.
Edit: Also, I can understand not using Kuroko in 2, 'cause he DOES have a nasty and braindead infinite…
Only his C spout gives infinite blockstun, the one at the very end of the screen. You can always move in between the A and B spouts. Since you can always roll forward after a knockdown, there’s just no way to do it without the victim voluntarily putting themselves in the trap.
Maybe I’m remembering things wrong, but last I checked it’s not the blockstun that’s the insidiousness of the trap but the fact that he can start another one while the first one is on screen. Even if you roll after knockdown, you’ll just roll into another one right as you get up. So you either take 20% a life bar per knockdown or you get chipped to death. The 100% block damage only occurs if he knocks you down in the corner, at which point he locks you down with C spouts, but you’re still not getting a chance to hit him during Spout spam unless you can get close enough to stop him from doing the spout at all. And you’d have to do it every time he tries to do one, or else risk getting trapped for the duration of his POW.
I suppose if you’ve fought enough Soggys you can get the hang of stopping his spout spam with a capable character, but that still sounds like in order to beat it, you need to “be more skillful”. "|
If he knocks you down in the corner, you roll forward. He doesn’t get a free C spout in any situation ever. And blocked spouts do a lot less than 20% lol. He is alot less safe than a raged Hanzo at least, if you make a good guess and get inside of a spout, he will get hurt badly.
