I guess someone didn’t read what I posted about the different versions of Garou that came out before the final release did. Garou didn’t just come out as 1 version, there were many versions of the game where they fixed a lot of the infinites and what not. Everyone has their own opinion about fighters, I don’t really like to start wars because of those opinions. I do play capcom fighters as well, yes even enter in tournaments and what not. I also play the GG series which a lot of people don’t like as well, I just play all fighters to have better comp for any game. My top 3 games are Garou, GG Slash and 3S, all each from different companies and all very unique in their own way. Also Kain is a very fun character ot learn once you know his stuff and tricks. Take care.
i think i need competition in it to understand it cus I do want to learn about it more.
So by that logic you don’t take SF2 or Marvel seriously either do you? What about VF? T5?
And last I checked those 80% combos were nowhere easy to perform. Most involve tight timings and/or fake cancels.
Give me a break.
Most BT infinites in SS are 2 moves. They’re still difficult to perform and very difficult to setup. Go watch some vids. You might actually see a playstyle enjoy if you’re a capcom fanboy.
seriously shut the fuck up.
You are just wrong… You have pretty bad sources:wtf:
Here is the top tier list from howardarena(garou experts):

This top tier list is continuously updated and jenet is top tier since months if not years…
I suggest all of you to visit that site, they record a lot of their matches, you will be able to see how deep is the garou’s gameplay potential.
Quantity is better than quality right?
lol!!! :hitit: What you forget is that, tought they are boss, they aren’t better than others chars. That really is a plus for the balance of the game… but well… you want super giga powerfull bosses that can destroy anything in one strike right?
Garou is the answer if its SNK, but if were talking about Taito then its Dino Rex in your mouth.
truth, you’re only as good as your comp
i dont know what happened to this thread… first it was about which game was the answer back to 3s then it came to Garou being broke… something about SS tenka infinites… something about Garou tiers…
look garou is a good game, SF 3s is a good game nuff said
so true
garou mos def
Those infinites you saw in the KYSG video are done by programmable joystick and require JF timing. A human would not be able to do 99% (if any) them.
There are awesome BT combos though, since hitstun is increased on a BT opponent.
At the end of the day, who the fuck cares if Garou was the answer to the SF3 line of games. Hell, you can make the same argument about AOF3, which had crazy good animation AND high res (well really large sprites), only difference between AOF3 and Garou is that, AOF3 sucked hard.
But really this argument was best left back in 1999, and why it’s even brought up in 2006 is beyond me. All this, what about me, me too fanboy shit has just got to stop already.
And doesn’t really matter to you fanboys if Garou or any other game was the counter to an opposite Capcom game? Is it really going to make that much of a difference? Yeah, I’m pretty sure just because it’s the “answer” to so and so’s game, it’s going to be the difference maker here, right. Last I checked it was gameplay and fun factor, and not stupid semantics, that determine good games.
Garou is actually pretty balanced. Nothing lower than a 3-7 matchup in that game and things are still winnable like in 3S thanks to the existence of JD which allow for crazy shit to happen given the proper amount of skill and training.
Garou is the answer to SF3 that SNK tried to push forward. I believe they were going to market it a lot harder than they did, but then they bankrupted thanks to Aruze, which is also why MOTW2 never really came to light.
SNK does develop good games and they are played very much, it just seems that their luck is based elsewhere and not in the USA. I think the main reason for it is that the US players seem to be more puritan when it comes to fighting games and would rather, in most cases, stick to Street Fighter unless the system is radically different (3D games, GGXX, etc). Playing what amounts to be a different kind of 3S doesn’t really turn players on much, now, does it?
Garou
But Matrimelee is funny, adictive and hilarious!
WTF? Did this thread lose something like at least 20 posts in a day???
Whoa, that’s some serious time-space paradox here…
I would say Last Blade 2’s parry feels more like 3s and the graphics are pretty rich imo. I hate Gorou, that game is crap. I beat people that actucally play that with Tizoc using old Hugo tricks. dumb game

lol this is some serious flamebait i applaud you sir
Yeah, fighting scene here in the u.s sucks. I have been loking for competition in SNK games but I have found none. Sunnyvalle Golfland here in cali has Garou MOTW but nobody plays it. Everybody just can’t stop playing CVS 2, 3s, and tekken.
O.K., O.K., O.K…
I know CAPCOM FANBOYS ain’t saying shit about a game "being broken!!!"
Ruwaka…go to Huntington Park And Im sure Oscar aka The Answer and others over there will give you the competition you seek in SNK games… HEB and K-Force etc…
garou is the shit and is most def the answer to 3rd strike.
Garou sucks. You can’t option select Just Defend like you can Parry. There’s also no kara throw. And no chun li.
close thread fer fucks sake.
