Which Fighting game has the toughest AI?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Genesis port)

The AI would do what I can only best describe as ex versions of their special moves when they needed to counter something that you were doing. There was no way that you could do these ex moves yourself, only the AI could do them.

For example, special moves would come out faster and travel farther.

To me it seemed that CE and WW had the easiest AIs. It was really easy to figure out the AI patterns (eg. sweep to bait Honda into jumping, repeat j.hp vs Claw, repeat sweep on Ryu on wakeup, repeat electricity vs Bison, spam lows vs Boxer, whiff DP vs Guile to bait flashkick etc). In HF they fixed many of the problems, and in ST they just made they AI super retarded.

Shin Bison in A3 was also a dick, but once you stopped jumping around, he was cake. That fucking psycho crusher was stupid.

Question to the OP, are you talking about the computer outright cheating, or just having a flawless battle strategy also known as Perfect Play A.I which the MK series was known for

Kaiser Knuckle (released as Global Champion in the US) is commonly considered one of the most difficult fighting games amongst Japanese fighting game fans. Its secret final boss, General, is considered one of the fighting game boss gods (above SNK bosses). The game isn’t impossible, but chances are slim you’ll be beating General on the first few dozen tries. The game was so difficult that Taito, its publisher, asked arcades to set the game on Easy difficulty after release to alleviate player frustration.

I’m not aware of a recorded full 1CC playthrough of the game anywhere. Therefore, let’s have a little contest. I’ll give a free XBL Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix download code plus $10 via PayPal to the first person to beat the game and provide either a WolfMAME input recording or an externally placed recording starting from the dipswitch configuration menu (to ensure standard settings). I’d offer a bigger reward but that would just attract cheaters since these recording methods aren’t foolproof. This contest is primarily a challenge for folks to test themselves against tough AI. The self-explanatory terms:

-Let’s stick with the Japanese version; the western versions have redrawn portraits, missing character intros, and no mechanical differences I’m aware of (some sites claim missing supers but I haven’t noticed any such thing) but I’m not certain if the difficulty was changed
-Dan-Ku-Ga revision is not allowed (its difficulty is toned down)
-Default Normal difficulty, speed, timer, and any other options related to mechanics
-Any character is allowed (boss characters aren’t playable)
-No continues allowed
-You must reach and defeat General at the end
-No cheating or external devices allowed (including no autofire)

Feel free to use existing resources for advice. I know there are a set of videos on Nico Nico Douga that provide some tips against General. Anybody who succeeds should PM me with the details to receive the prize.

There’s a different between a really hard/smart AI and a stupid CPU exclusive broken Boss character.

Glad I’m the only one who doesn’t think ST’s AI is insane, I thought I just sucked at that game lol
