Which DLC character will YOU vote for?

I’d prefer a vote were we can choose our top 3 favorites and our 3 least wanted. Our favorites get +(1 to 3) per vote while our least favorites get -(1 to 3)
I prefer that style of voting because a even if a character gets voted the highest based on “popularity,” that doesnt mean the majority like that character. Say 40 percent favorited character X the other 60 percent of the voters spread out their votes between 3 other characters, but they all equally hated character X. In that scenario the winning character was loved by 40% of the voters and hated by the other 60%. This could very well end up in a poorly received dlc character. negative votes can mitigate that quite a bit.

Then if exhaustive needs to be done afterwards, so be it
Have they announced how the poll will work? Is it only for the indiegogo campaign contributers, or open to the general internet populace? If it’s the latter, stanley is going to win for free.
We need more dudes in this game, so for me it’s either Brain Drain or Panzerfaust (Potemkin?). But more so Brain Drain because we already guy Big Band for a huge character.
The problem with this is the possibility of abuse. I could downvote characters I think are going to win just to heighten the chances of my favorite winning.
I agree with it aside from that, so maybe 3 positive votes and 1 negative vote or something.
ugh. reading that they want violet to have a lot of sexual innuendo in her attacks just makes me want to cringe. the game is already oversexualised enough, plus her character design is just awful. she is just hideous to look at.

i think the chances of her winning though are pretty slim, so thank god for that.
Feng, easily.

I already was pretty fond of the character design (and we could use a few more not so big chested gals), but when I saw she would be more like 3s Makoto, I gotta vote for her now.
a exhaustive ballout will actually pretty much result in the same outcome without having to juggle around with multiple and positive/negative votes per participant. If you guys are afraid it would take to long they just would have to do pools first (maybe for each row on the silhouette sheet).

I hope it’s only for contributers. If they have a good webdeveloper amoung them they would probably just send out a participation code for each email address that pledged, which would result into an account on a dedicated voting site.

If you guys really want multiple votes per voter, i would say bind it to the money actually given (which would require the reward tiers to get a bit adjusted…) like 1 vote for 5$ (pre-order tier), 2 for 10$ (pro-order tier) and max 3 votes for 15$ and everything above.

In the end i will be satisfied with anything tho, as long as it isn’t a f’in facebook poll >_<
I see your point. That seems fair enough.
I agree with Evu. An exhaustive poll will address everybody’s fears regarding negative votes, and it will allow people to vote for less popular characters they like without worrying about letting a more popular character they don’t like win. We’re also gonna have plenty of time to vote, as they’ll need at least 6 months to finish both Big Band and Squigly, so that’s not a problem. And even if time was a problem they could just drop the 5 lowest vote getters for the first four or five rounds, then either move to a single drop per round, or the 3 vote system others have mentioned.

Eh…Worry about voting when it gets to that point. Right now 600k is a huge stretch goal and we haven’t even reached Big Band’s first stretch goal yet.

After hearing more details about character play styles, Feng has jumped into the lead for me. I’m really liking the idea of placing the birds on the screen for increased mobility options ala Bang Shishigami. If they combine that with 3S Makoto-esque play style then I’m in there for that. The mind games and resets would be insane.

Lovelace has been bumped down a bit for me, but I would definitely like to hear more details other than teleports and attacking from unexpected angles. It just reminds me of Calamity Trigger v-13, which might not be as interesting.

If they define Dhalia’s play style a bit more and make it more trap/mix-up oriented over zoning then I’m definitely liking this character more. I would like something similar to the lines of Vampire Savior Hsien-Ko.
I would vote for Black Dhalia.

Clearing up Umbrella:

I don’t remember the character he referenced (if he referenced anyone) but the the umbrella she carries (Hungern) would have a special attack (Biting/Eating) the opponent) that gets stronger the longer you don’t use it (it gets hungrier lol) so the player would have to decide between ending combos for positioning/oki and ending combos for big damage (by using this special move).

Again, this is just an idea they’re playing with, it’s not set in stone.
I wish he would have commented on how Panzerfaust would play.

I like all the other characters but TankFist looks the coolest by far.

He’ll probably end up winning.

Well if we make it to the 3rd character, which I highly doubt.

Thats something that’ll happen if they do another indiegogo after Squigly and Big Band are released.

Anyone except

Ileum
Minette
Mrs. Victoria
Leduc

I really hope they don’t stop at only two DLC characters. I would really want to see most of them in the game.
Fundraiser has hit $280k so Taliesin has been unveiled.

I’m really interested in how Taliesin would play but a part of me doesn’t want him to be selected for DLC because his theme would seem like it would overlap with Big Band & Ms.Fortune.

PanzerFaust doesn’t seem the most popular character judging from board reactions thus far. I think most people are leaning towards Stanley at the moment.
