I’d rather have the development team release some details about how a character would play and let the fan votes go from there. Character design is one part of the appeal but they need to have an interesting fighting style to go with it.<br><br>Right now I can’t picture how Science Shark would play at all so I can’t get on board with him. However, if they can provide a small tidbit on what they have in mind for his play style then maybe I would get swayed to wanting him in the game over some of the other characters. As it stands though, I’m definitely all for Lovelace, Juju, 4th row, 2nd character from the left, and the person from Cerebella’s circus troupe that has some weird living violin. <br>

I don’t get it either, Brain Drain has been a favorite of mine since i saw him appear behind Painwheel in her intro.
I want me some Dahlia.<br>1) Character designwise she looks nice and elegant compared to the rest of the cast. <br>2) Gameplaywise she sounds nice.<br>3) Storywise she’s nestled between Lab 8 and the Medici. There’s so much world information that could be seen from her story mode.<br>
Scythana and Annie:<br><br>Scythana: Because I love giant chicks <3 Plus I would really like to know more about her back story and why she was thrown in jail in the first place. Also we could learn a bit more about the Gigan kingdom, which I’ve become very curious. Gameplay wise, I can imagine her being a be in your face and beat your sorry as down character.<br><br>Annie: Her backstory is so dark and she seems like she would have an amazing playstyle. <br><br>These are my top picks~

It just…like…he doesn’t seem like a fighter in the slightest, it would be awkward to see him doing air combos and whatnot. Yet, for seemingly no reason, everyone is just all over him. Sure, his supers would be potentially funny, but that’s no reason for him to be a fighter. I rather don’t want him to win. maybe ill vote marie just because i know the japanese are all over her. >.>
Vote for the characters you do want, not that has a “greater” chance of winning… some people just want a shark character, what is bad about this? If he win you can ignore him and dont play with the character, its just that simple…
I don’t really understand the “he doesn’t look like a fighter” point when Peacock doesn’t really look like one either. Removing the context and the story behind her she just looks like your typical cartoon character from the olden days. Not to mention there are plenty of other fighting game characters in other series who don’t particularly look like fighters either. <br><br>Frank West is just an ordinary guy with a bunch of makeshift survival tools. That doesn’t keep him from being playable in a game like Marvel vs. Capcom 3. At least Stanley’s a scientist. A scientist from Lab 8 that is specifically tailored to combat the Skull Girl. He’s sure to have some powerful gadgets up his sleeves. Ones that will be considerably less goofy than Peacock’s, most likely.<br>
It saddens me to think that people would vote for a character they don’t particularly want but has a high chance of winning just to stop other people potentially getting a character they want.
my vote goes for black dhalia and maybe braindrain or panzerfaust.<br><br>im wondering if they will do a first vote where people can vote for whoever they want, and then a second vote where they just take the top 5 from the last poll and everyone votes on one of them.<br><br>probably getting a little ahead of ourselves atm though. 600K is a lot of money, theres still a long way to go, although i do expect another boom like the first on the last day.<br>
Just give game play details so people can decide whether they are on board or not. Most likely they haven’t thought up of all the fighting styles of every character but I would rather judge a character by the potential of how they play than by how they look. Aesthetics definitely help for sure but it doesn’t hurt if they have an interesting play style to get the gears working. I also understand that trying to provide game play details for the 30+ characters at this point might be time they don’t have to spare but I would definitely appreciate it if they could. If not then we vote by popularity and see what happens.<div><br></div><div>I’m actually kind of interested in Juju and how she would interact with Parasoul on the team. </div>

Ok first off, if LabZero is putting these characters up for vote then
they probably already have some juicy fighting styles planned for each
and every one. Have some faith in that at least.<br>

Stanley has plenty of moveset potential. First off the whole science
angle could go in one of a ton of directions. We don’t have any gadget
characters yet so that seems most likely. On top of that he’s a shark
which means he has an extra whole area to pull moves from. I’m guessing
his normals will be sharky while his special moves will be mostly
gadgets and traps. I don’t even see how people could say “Oh I don’t see
this guy being able to hold his own in a fight, he’s just a bipedal
shark with advanced scientific knowledge at his disposal.”<br>(reposted from skullheart)<br>

I dislike characters which feel out of place, that means:<br>
- No megasize ones. Double (and upcoming Big Band) is (are) making me mad enough already.<br>
- No characters which are canonically much stronger/weaker than others.
While versus mode throws stuff out the window anyhow (as you can let
two best friends fight, or even mirrormatch), I don’t think one needs to
make it worse than it already is. If a character is canonically a god
that makes planets whither with a hand gesture, for him to get beat up
by a schoolgirl is just random. At the same time, the waitress of some
random restaurant might be pretty, but she shouldn’t suddenly turn into a
masterclass fighter.<br> - No characters which give off the vibe of a “sidekick” rather than
mainchar. It’s okay if you have 30+ chars and are running out of ideas,
but we got plenty of options and are still running a rather small cast.<br> - No non-canon / “alternative X” / bonus versions etc characters. I
don’t want to play a char that died 10 years ago, or one that will be
born in 15 years, or Marie as non-SkullGirl, or Painwheel without mask
or whatever. That’s Evil Ryu crap. See 3).<br> - No characters lacking a ‘twist’. Right now all chars got something
that makes them special (the goody two-shoes is overflowing with Nazi
references, the catgirl takes off her head, the cute girl is a zombie,
the schoolgirl has a parasite in her head, …). I don’t want to lose
that.<br> - No grossly overdrawn ones<br>

I think he looks awesome. I look at that shark in a labcoat and think,
holymad this guy is fucken great. At the same time, I don’t think that a
char which canonically “died” (or barely escaped with his life) from
the attack on Lab8 should suddenly become a fighter that goes toe-to-toe
with the strongest. He’s a scientist. I like his char base, so maybe
one can expand on that (either give him a bigger role in SG2 where he
directly backs Peacock, or rewrite his story and change up his
appearance to “maddened over the loss of his colleagues, he turned
himself into a cyborg that kills everything in its path”), but right now
he isn’t a fighter.<br>
<br>
Base example: Samson Super mode.<br>
Completely aside from his size (which alone is a big nono for me), he’d
canonically ram about everything into the ground. He’s an infamous,
centuries old parasite that made an average schoolgirl strong enough to
fight with the worlds elite, and now he’s in control, grows to
powersize, aand … … is as strong as before? That would just annoy me.<br>
<br>
Base example: Ms.Victoria<br>
She’s a teacher. End. Even if they find a good reason why a supersoldier
woman was a classic teacher, it’d be kinda boring char design in
comparison to other characters. If D.Violet were to be part of her, the
char design would be far more interesting, but then she’s partly a
grossly overdrawn sexmachine with a silly whip.<br>

Soo… going from the current scarce info (eg maybe Stanley DID turn
himself into a cyborg and can shoot lazors out of his eyes), the list of

men are uninteresting.<br> - I dislike Ileum. Just don’t like her looks.<br>

So it’s Dhalia, Annie, or possibly “Beowulf” (+ maybe Marie) for me
(Right now! Maybe stuff changes if additional info on the chars gets
released - And maybe they even release random playstyle ideas which
