Which DLC character will YOU vote for?

I agree with Dios X that even with the new system, the results will not be much different. Top 8 will look exactly the same with Dahlia and Brain Drain, and Marie being eliminated. The vote didn’t really get split until top 8 where there were 4 male characters, and only 2 votes, and pretty much all the male characters got eliminated because of that.

If you look at the top 4 with Aeon, Minette, Annie, and Eliza. Assuming the guy vote didn’t get split, Aeon would have been eliminated and it would turn out to be Beowolf, Minette, Annie, and Eliza. With no ability to split the vote, Annie or Minette will be guaranteed to win because little girl votes are the absolute majority voters in this Skull Girls campaign.

Now that I think about it, I wish I can undo my instant-runoff vote.

I wanted to just stress how much I am against instant runoff voting. I’m a student of political science and the system looks great on paper but the reality is there’s a good chance that we’ll end up voting for a character that a bunch of people kind of liked but very few people were enthusiastic about.

Yeah i voted for the new system, as well as speeding the process up. Its to much of a hassle to be waiting a week for results… With salt being applied. The new voting system has us rank the characters from most prefferred to least prefferred… Will be hard to do on the first and second vote…but 3rd vote and on It should get easier and gives us a more accurate look at what people actually want cause we can rank them and vote… I mean peoples 5th and 6th favorite votes in the first round didnt matter before whereas now they will. And the characters with the highest points amassed will move on… Meaning that voting a character first gives them very good mileage as that will be 30 points in the first vote… And yet the last character on someone’s list only gets one point.

I like this idea better, though i dont think the results will be much different. Though even a little is enough to make things very interesting.

That’s not quite how it works, each person only gets one vote and that goes to their first choice, after everyone has voted, the candidate with the lowest score is eliminated and anyone who indicated that the eliminated candidate was their first choice has their ballot recounted with their one vote going to the highest ranked candidate remaining on their ballot. This process is repeated until one candidate receives more than 50% of the vote or, for the first round in this case, until there are only 20 candidates left. basically this system makes it so that if ur favorite gets knocked out your vote will count for your next favorite. Basically this system eliminates the whole “meta voting” thing by letting u recast ur vote if your character gets knocked out

well how is that different than the situation we r in now? the way things are now there are alot of people who don’t like any of the remaining characters and will only vote, if at all, to try and eliminate who ever they hate the most, with instant runoff voting there’s less of a chance for people to get completely screwed. So either the largest group is really happy and others are completely unhappy, or most of the voters will be at least partially satisfied

Which is like, perfect I guess? Better than getting a char which 10% of the playerbase love and 90% absolutely don’t want to see.

There are probably just as many people that don’t want her in the game as there are people that do.

Annie gets less hate and just as much love so she could probably survive an AV.

If Eliza wins this round I’m willing to bet Annie will win the next.

I just read that 45% of the people are voting on gameplay. Seeing the amount of hate based on characters, this can’t possibly be true.

It looks great to me. I dont care who wins save for around 8 characters. Any of the other characers are cool in my book… So adam, cool. Beatrix cool, ottomo cool… Any characters besides the 8 i dont want… Cool.

MUCH better system i dont have to put all my votes toward something i dont like and should my first candidate not win my vote counts for the second one… Or 20th one…or 30th one… All good to me.

And this type of process makes it so that people will vote for who they actually want more than just who they think is popular/can win cause they dont want in someone else.

It isn’t. Make it 4.5% and you’re probably still erring on the high side. I always stated this number is off by at least one digit. People are oblivious.

Yeah, the Alternative Voting does seem better. I"m very curious how different or similar the results will be.

Plus I can at least rank Aeon last. :-p

The vast majority of voters are not tournament/competitive players and most probably considered aesthetics long before gameplay - if at all.

It’s all about the looks, Eliza got in because of the sexiness. Minette (and Annie) got in because the moeness.

Aeon got in…I don’t know how/why she made top 4.

Something tells me it’s not Annie. Duckie said “we’d be mad” about the winner and I don’t see Annie getting too many people mad. Only candidates I see that fall under that category are Aeon and Minette.

So give up Annie fans and vote for Eliza instead

Pretty sure that Annie has caused a good portion of hate amount fans for being “moe”, a “pedo char”, “generic” and for being “just another Sol clone.”
