Simply Amazing
Thanks for sharing that story. I’ve played Street Fighter since SFII was in the arcade. It’s always been a casual thing. Lately, I’ve been a bit more serious about it. I booked a room yesterday with plans to spectate. You’ve inspired me to throw my hat into the ring. It’s a chance for me to experience something new.
Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery for your father.
Amazing story. I wish CvS2 was still in the main lineup for evo this year
Wow. Just wow.
That’s probably the most inspiring thing I’ve read in a long time. You deserved that win more than anyone at EVO Choi.
is this john choi’s brother? looks like him:

I went to HS with that guy, same year too ahahaha
Often times a player’s personal life is abstracted from what he does when he plays in tournaments. It adds a nice perspective when you do hear stories like this. You get to add a human face to a competitor. As far as this story is concerned, … truly inspirational.
Great read and very inspirational. Totally not what I expected when I read the title but I guess that’s what people mean by don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
I had heard that you had some family problems last year, never expected it to be something this serious. Good to hear that the surgery was a success.
Best wishes to you and your family. Hope to see you wreck some faces at Evo again this year.
from this I can tell you are an amazing person. best wishes to you and your family, I won’t be going to evo this year but I hope to see you play in person in the future
You get that cheese choi.
