I’m wondering if Ino still plays, since I haven’t seen him in any videos as of late. I assume he didn’t go to Evo because of Absolution, but the last time I saw him was in the SBO matches earlier in 2004.
I hope he hasn’t quit as he’s still the best K-Groove player I’ve ever seen, in a game becoming increasingly polarized towards A and C grooves. Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t he the best cvs2 player in Japan at one point (I’m assuming since I saw him beat the best at 2 consecutive major tournies)?
If this has been posted before I apologize, but it’s very hard to search SRK for his name (searching for Inoue gave me nothing). Thanks.
Ino has vanished. I last saw him when I first moved back to Japan, back in June. Since then, no one has seen him around Tokyo. No one knows if he’s still in the Kanto region or if he moved back to his native Kansai area, but it’s pretty certain that he stopped playing.
I wasn’t sure if this was supposed to be on the down low or anything, but now that it’s out in the open I guess I can elablorate what I’ve heard…
A lot of this is hearsay, so take it with a few liberal grains of salt.
From what I’ve heard, Ino never came home after SBO2. This obviously conflicts with Gunter having seen him in June so that’s false.
Apparently, the day he disappeared he never came back to his apartment after everybody had seen him at the arcade or whatever. Since there were a bunch of fools that lived at his apartment (Mago, Kindebu, not sure if Morikawa was still there at that point) and the apartment was under his name, all those dudes were basically forced to move out.
It’s also the reason why Ino never came to Evolution after having been confirmed… dude just disappeared a few months before.
One thing is for sure though, he’s never been spotted at any major arcade since his disappearance. A lot of people think he might have simply gone back to Osaka, but he’s also not answering his phone or signing onto MSN Messenger. Shrug. Anyway, hope he’s safe wherever he is.
Do they do that kind of report in Japan??? David Dial has been missing for months…there’s this dude named Gunter masquerading as David somewhere in Japan, though…
