I’m not sure about that one? I know we got Valle and Choi, but I don’t recall any tournament happening between US and Japan. I don’t even recall any casual play between US and JApan players in A2.
I knew I read somewhere that Bas was at least a decent player in XvsSF. I thought I was going crazy.
This year and last year at Evo, I asked bas if he wanted to play some casual XSF. Last year, he said he really didn’t want to, but he played one game anyway and got totally smoked. This year he said something to the effect of “I am a total scrub at that game” and didn’t play at all.
I guess he may have once played (back when those vids were recorded), but for sure he does not play XSF anymore.
Isn’t that because japan didn’t like alpha 2 after awhile or whatever.
Before the B4 team played Japan in marvel, it was pretty damn funny to see all the Jap fan boys on their sacks about how Japan was going to fuck up the U.S players. I can’t remember exactly who it was, I believe it was Viscant, who said flat out that Japan sucked just by looking at what characters they used. They thought trash characters like Sim, Silver Samurai, Anakaris and Megaman were top tier. Fan boys didn’t wanna hear any of that though, going on about how they just played the game differently and they would fuck up the B4 team in marvel. They were right though, Japan did play the game differently, they played like shit.
