Start with the latest, VF5 Final Showdown.

VF4 Evo, my first entry to VF, is good solely for its tutorial, though some of the mechanics they teach were removed in FS (multiple throw escapes). FS has a tutorial as well; it’s not nearly as robust, but it’s worth going through it for the VF5-specific stuff.

Ive got VF4 vanilla, I love its tutorial, and playing arcade is fun after i learn a few new things.
