I just hope that after BB:CS (with this iteration, BB still sucks), Arc finally work on a new GG like they were mentioning. They said they wanted to focus on BB, well, I think that two releases of BB is enough for them for now…hopefully.
Wouldn’t a more logical conclusion to make from that be that they’ll probably release 5 versions of BB?
Arc is going to get all they can out of these sprites they’ve worked so hard to make.
imo
god lord, no, ASW still has the rights over GG, the legal issue is abot partioal rights over the publisher rights that sega has over the series, not like the rumor says, some people believe that sega owns GG now; but the best way to prove that is not true is seeing how
a) sega is not in the credits of AC
b) all the contracts over AC of Aksys are done with ASW and not Sega, if sega owned GG, Aksys would make their bussines with sega, and thats not the case
go fuck with a goat, you little piece of shit
Well, with GG and it’s revisions, Arc didn’t have another series to focus on at the time. Now that they have two, they should balance out the attention.
No.
No.
I don’t have the link, but there was an interview with Arc where they mentioned that GG is for the ‘hardcore’ and BB was thus introduced for other demographics. In the same interview they also quelled all the silly rumours of Sega owning the GG franchise, and said they plan to bring out a new GG, but for now they’re focusing on BB.
It’s just like the 3s community. It’s still there, but SF4 took over.
I would love ArkSys to port GGAC+ for XBLA and PSN using the same BB netcode, they would make a large amount of money.
This is what I predict the next GG installment if going to be
*New redrawn HD Sprites
*Slower Gameplay
*Less Characters (due to how long it takes to create an HD character)
*Casual Friendly gameplay
*New characters or Redone Old characters with a more Mash Friendly playstyle.
*Escapable Throws
GG players should probably get used to BB since ArcSys is probably going for the more Casual Style of fighting games just like Capcom did.
well, considering that BB is the vision of fighting games of mori and GG is the vision of fighting games of ishiwatari, that is highly improbable, as they said, GG is for the hardcores, so you can bet that the next GG will be like AC, not casual friendly at all
i remember that in an interview they said that even when they share some tastes on games, the point of view on fighting games is very different, perhaps this is what they mean, Ishiwatari likes games for the hardcore players, and mori likes games that are accesible for both, hardcore and casuals
i read in this one interview that bb was going to be made into a facebook game where you sell off each character into slavery for otaku goods while running around japan in hopes of finding the best bowl of ramen
