im not soo good at catching the motion and parrying before the flash, so if im low on health and the person is trying to chip me, i like to red parry it to be a lil safer.
the trouble im having though, is when i red parry it, i kinda lose count of how many parries i have left, until the next wave of parries. does anyone can good advice on this?
also is there an easier way to get your red parry in? i try to time it when i get hit and am in blockstun, quickly let go and tap forward because it looks like its rapid and can get parried that way. even though im not having as much trouble with this, i wanna know if theres a way other than kind-of sort-of guessing.

oh one more thing, would you recommend doing you punish after the first wave, or second wave of rapid kicks? or just parry the whole thing? i seen a 720 after the first wave, and s.lp’s connect. but is anything slower than the second wave of kicks that will get you hit?
I’d like to know how to count how many to parry in the first wave to. That always fucks me up. I’d say if you can, just start parrying during the second wave. It’s a lot easier.
The punish really depends on what character you’re using. You might want to wait until the end to get a jump in combo, but if you have a grab super like 720 or RD, after the first wave you should be fine.
there nothing easy about using the red parry, and this is why you even hardly see it in high level play. There is no easy way. Especailly not with chun’s saII. Again, you just have to get used to the timing and practice hard.
I wouldn’t reccomend it because I’ve never tried it. But it honestly does no harm to parry the rest of the move. IMO, you’re not safe until the entire attack is parried, so i’d just parry the whole thing.
if you’re red parrying a wave and you don’t know how many kicks are left, I think the best idea is to parry and watch closely for the wave to stop, and jab out of the rest of the super
ideally though you’ll want to start red parrying on the second wave of kicks, since you know when it’s coming a lot better than red parrying in the middle of the first
I’m not 100 percent sure but I don’t think you can instantly go from blockstun to a jab, the kicks come out fast and there is little time to react between waves. You rarely see someone stop chun li’s SA2 half way through using a poke. Watch this video
