i’m not really sure what you’re trying to say here. your “usual game with wolverine” is a combo?
you use it when you want to keep your unassisted bereserker slashes/barrages safe on block and maintain frame advantage, or when you want to combo from them(slashes/barrages) if they happen to hit. so when you see people use berserker charge on stream or whatever, 99% of the time it’s in one of those situations. other than that, you’ll sometimes see it used in combination with xfactor–because xfactor wolvie + charge = free IOH combos–and you’ll sometimes see it due to a botched wavedash attempt.
something you won’t see, though(and is something i like to do if the conditions are right) is: invulnerable tornado claw cc assist, b.charge cancel first hit(before feet leave ground) into a full slash loop.
