good news. it would have been nice to hear it from udoneko, but he doesn’t seem to visit around here anymore
anyways, after this arc i’m giving up on buying the individual issues. i’d get them if they came out more consistently, but with the 4-6 month gap between issues i don’t even remember what happened in the previous issue.
i’m not really a big fan of that policy, because i know that if no one buys the individual issues, then there’s a good chance no more trades will be made, but i don’t really care anymore. i’d rather spend my money on something that comes out regularly and then pick up the next street fighter trade when it comes out in 2009.
Last issue of SVC where Ken got his brain and heart removed, repaired and put back into his body was hella funny!
Still don’t have issue 3 of the series. The moment I ordered it online someone told me they saw it at Forbiden Planet… well I’ll sit back and wait for my order to come in for now…
Yeah, for some reason its off diamonds shipping list and apparently not coming out next week unfortunately and hasnt ben resolicited, as of yet anyways.
However SF Sakura IS coming out this week, so we’ll at least get something. I got to give the SFL crew props as its nice to have a SF book coming out VERY timely. I mean we’ve gotten three issues pretty quick
is anyone else in the uk having difficulty getting issues?
my local comic shop sucks and forbidden planet never seem to have any sf stuff but lately i ain’t been able to find anything no powerfoil for issue four no rival schools power cel cover (was that canned or something coz it looked stunning) and the street fighter legends stuff seems to be impossible to find is it just my local shops suck or is everyone having this prob?
Street Fighter 5 is back on Diamonds List for shipping next week 11/8.
Usually stuff doesn’t disappear off the list a week in advance so we can probably expect it next week and SF Legends this week. Its a good week for SF fans.
issue 2 is the only issue i’ve been able to find of rival schools
my local comic shop won’t even get it in despite me regularly buying streetfighter streetfighter 2 streetfighter legends and sarkstalkers stuff from him fucking wanker thats the last time i pay his rip off prices as well cunt
Did you try asking someone who works there to place an order for you? The comic shops I’ve been to has no problem doing that for me as long as I pay half upfront and pay the rest when it comes in.
Nothing from Studio Udon this week. For fans of the first Devil May Cry Novel a second one comes out this week. Like the first one it’s mostly text, few images.
Man, I thought the Devil May Cry Novel had the number 2 just because it was the second one, but it actually fills the gaps between DMC1 and DMC2, it leaves off where DMC2 starts! It tells us what happened to Trish and Nelo Angelo after DMC1. Kick ass! Still in the middle of reading…
Haha, don’t take those novels too seriously. Although these novels were written with input from Capcom, it doesn’t matter at this point anymore.
The first novel tried to show us Dante before DMC1 began. Except it’s been replaced by DMC3. DMC3 is pretty much the only official info we have of events before DMC1, since there are too many inconsistencies and plotholes between the first novel and DMC3.
So the second novel fills the gap between DMC1 and DMC2? Big deal, as it was written some 3 years ago. There’s a little something called DMC4 that fills in the gap between DMC1 and DMC2, as stated by Capcom.
Yeah, I’ll still read the novel and you can go ahead and enjoy it. But again, don’t take the events that happen in them seriously, as they no longer have any real bearing on the canon DMC story. The only official sources are the games and probably also the DMC3 manga, as that is a prequel of DMC3.
Well of course it’s not official, it’s a novel lol! Nothing is official except the games themselves. Not even the Devil May Cry 3 manga.
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition arleady changed the way that Vergil and Arkham met in the manga. So it’s already not official. There’s other smaller things but that right there is the big one.
So yeah I just sit back and enjoy these works for what they are and don’t take these works seriously as far as being official, and you really shouldn’t. For me it’s like watching a Spider-Man movie or something, I just enjoy the movie for what it is and don’t try to tie it in to Amazing Spider-Man issue #300 or whatever. Well since we are talking about a DMC book here, I look at it like reading some really good fan fiction.
I enjoyed the first novel, only the character of Dante seemed a little off to me. DMC3 aside he didn’t seem like Dante of DMC1 either. In the second one the writer Shin-Ya Goikeda seems to have a better handle of him, so far anyway. Up to like page 100…
