What's your thoughts on the "classic" version

I dunno, but to me, it feels like some combos don’t work.

I couldn’t get cammy’s s.mp, s.hp xx cannon drill off… I got it once… but that’s not saying much.

I dont like it. I couldnt pull off simple moves like a SRK. I dont know what it is. But it wasnt good.

Classic modes inputs are a lot more strict than Remix modes.

To get more specific, some of the classic mode inputs are random to a certain degree. This is why ST was the only fighting game ever where I couldn’t consistently do DPs.

It’s based off the Dreamcast version w/ arcade dipswitches, apparently. I remember that there is some delay after the announcer says “Fight!”, but not sure what other differences there are.

Is it really based on DC version? Well, of the home versions, isn’t that the best?

Why is it so impossible to port ST?

Did you guys miss that big thread about Dreamcast ST back when they first announced this game?

The players decided that the Dreamcast ST is arcade perfect if set to the right dipswitches (which are the ones used on the classic version). They said that the “differences” that were originally thought to exist were actually just the players being over-anxious.

Just look for the thread and read it yourself. It was in FGD.

All the dipswitches did was remove Ken/Dhalsim/Sagat’s ability to reversal super (why anyone would not want that is beyond me). They really didn’t do much else.

On HD:R, there are more switches then just the first page. But, on SSF2ST for Dreamcast there are a ton of switches that do all kinds of weird things.
