Not sure if this thread was ever created here? But yeah.
Wanted to ask other Gen player what’s your secondary character? Do you even have one? Why do you play him?
I play yang as a secondary myself. He’s not as good as my gen but I like that he has reka’s which help to improve buffer skills on my pad. Other reason he uses a mantis style. Kinda :D. And his u1 is somewhat similar to gen’s. And obviously i enjoy learning and playing him.
I play Makoto and Deejay.
My Makoto is often considered my best character, I just have more trouble adjusting to offense as her. I play her because I love the character.
I also love Deejay and his playstyle, he has a simple design, but he can be played offensively or defensively, and he can press buttons safely most of the time. When I do not want to go on full tilt against a strong opponent, I feel them out with Deejay.
I play Chun Li mostly (and a really bad Dan), might want to look into Juri someday.
Initially Chun Li was my main. I mean who could resist her? She’s both cute and beautiful without trying to hard (cough Sakura/Ibuki), and she holds the title of First Lady to boot. But ever since I first got into this game I’ve been watching Gen from a distance. He’s such an interesting character. Long story short, I eventually overcame the fear (that he’s too difficult to play well) and just start exploring the art of Mantis/Crane. It really isn’t so bad, once you get the hang of it.
a very scrubby v2012 Yun. Post nerfs, he’s really fun… and for some unintelligible reasons I’m fond of his kobokushi (palm) move.
hmm… secondary character? well I have never really studied or labbed with anyone like I did Gen, but I can hold the forte with Fei Long. used to play him before Gen burst into my territory, Also messing around with AE 2012 Yun lol!
