Whats your onilne name in TvC?

I was thinking we should start a nice big list of everyone’s names in tats so if we have a particularly good or bad match we can reference the board and actually discuss things with people after the fight. What do you say?

The list:
Baddog9000 : music note symbol Premium
BlueCloud : Mister L
djjizzdrinky : rat heat
dori. : viewty.d
nano5896 : Atomic Q
RoyalFlush: RYLFLSH

music note symbol Premium

Atomic Q

i guess people dont want to share their names in fear of being outed for losing.

or maybe nobody plays this online anymore (I don’t)

my name is

viewty (dot) d

I still play some online at least twice a week.

Online name: RYLFLSH

Or ragequitting

Hmm…

Online name: Mister L

I’ve made it no secret that if the match is laggy as fuck I quit out. Especially if Zero is involved. That its the only reason I would ragequit, or else my win percentage wouldn’t be ~65%, thats for sure. If I can’t even block an attack correctly I’m not going to feel about about quitting. We can all agree Zero certainly makes that much worse than other characters.

I think its kind of weird that you have multiple types of media dedicated to keeping tabs on people quitting out on you in games. Also, there are a few people on these shitlists who are known to be respectable players but claim to have quit out due to extreme lag. I’d like to include myself in that category. The screen name ‘kobun 20’ instantly came to mind as a really laggy connection. I remember one night I kept bumping into ‘kobun20’ over and over, each time avoiding a rematch, until I eventually just quit out.

If I was a real ragequitter I wouldn’t have lost ~20 matches in a row against this amazing Doronjo the other night. God, I think I got like 2 wins on that guy. I wish I remembered his name.

But lets keep ragequitting in the ragequitting thread. Please don’t hijack my thread. This was meant to be a nice, clean list of names. Not your soapbox.

You say it’s about the lag, but you don’t mind playing until you’ve lost all your life. It’s some bitch-ass shit no matter how you try to spin it. I’m surprised you post in the forums.

Edit: (To address your edit…): Also, you play Saki who probably benefits the most from lag. Also, no joke, I played Kobun20 a bunch this morning with near-zero lag. Not to say your connection with him wasn’t lagged, but it sounds like all the matches you lose “are so lagged”. My response was perfectly appropriate. We’re listing names, I stumbled upon some interesting info on your name. Also, fuck your thread, I’ll say whatever I want.

Yes, after fighting a terribly laggy guy and losing without being able to input a single command half a dozen times, I shut off my wii and went to do other things. My playing Saki has nothing to do with this since I am typically not involved in laggy matches. My wii is all wired up, DMZ’d and pushed through a custom firmware router to a very nice internet connection.

I don’t doubt that you played him and had no lag…weeks after he’s been lagging like crazy. Perhaps A) he bought a lan adpater. B) he didn’t have his torrents running. Or C) modern science is somewhat unpredictable.

You’re response was not perfectly appropriate. If I was worried about being labeled a rage-quitter I wouldn’t have been the one to start this thread. Nor would I have nearly four times as many posts on this board as you. Read over your last post again. Is that really how you like to represent yourself? We’re on the same board and into the same game. Lets make love, not war.

That’s exactly how I feel about ragequitters. We’re on the same board playing the same game, but people like you don’t wanna accept their loses. In my opinion, people like you degrade the online experience for everyone and that’s why I felt the need to call you out on it. I also seem to remember you recently saying you can’t play real life matches cause you’re used to the lag online. You’re the Goldilocks of TvC, you can’t play unless the lag level is juuuuust right.

You’re kind of creeping me out with all the quotes and pics.

As far as how we represent ourselves, at least I’m not being a relentless dick to someone who’s trying to create a database of the player’s names so we can identify good and bad matches we’ve had with them. I think that alone exonerates me of any guilt associated with not being a respectable player. Its pretty rude to say ‘fuck your thread’, especially when the thread is about bringing players together and giving them an open forum to discuss the other board members without hiding behind multiple online names.

I said the bit about the lag/offline matches because I’ve been playing online only since this game came out. I finally had a chance to play with my friend in person when I was on a trip to go see him and he kicked the shit out of me. I said a long time ago I think playing online makes you worse. I think most people agree. Keep in mind, though, that there is a difference between the lag being minimal and the lag being unplayable, and there is also a level of sarcasm that comes with many posts online, such as my saying I need the lag to be just right.

The thing you can’t seem to do is agree to disagree. I’m not asking you to agree with ragequitting in any fasion. I’m also not going to ask myself to feel shameful for quitting on a match that is absolutely unplayable, especially if its because I’ve been stuck fighting the same person over and over again. Hell, I just fought someone a few minutes ago named Codered (or something similar) and kept getting stuck in matches with him. All he did was shoot fireballs with Morrigan and Ryu. It was pretty annoying. I won a few and lost a few because the lag was bad enough that I couldn’t jump over them properly. After getting stuck in yet another match with that guy I quit. I don’t feel bad about it. At all.

I find it interesting that even though you’ve got this disgusting level of familiarity with me, we’ve never played a match together.

The bottom line is, regardless of your desire to call me out on anything, this is not the place. You’re muddying up the forums with this shit. I’m bowing out of this conversation because its going nowhere. Start a new thread and we can talk there if you want, but please, stop debating this here.
