I want to know what SRKers drink when going out for their weekend brunch.
So, what’s your drink of choice?

I don’t drink.
I don’t brunch.
Extra spicy bloody mary.
Used to be mimosas because I hated tomato juice until I had a bloody mary with sriracha.
Breakfast (or brunch) in a glass.
Midday alcohol consumption is still strange concept to me.
More like midmorning and its awesome.
My mistake, you’re throwing up by midday.

It’s the best. I wouldn’t overdo it because I like to do shit in the afternoon, but on a day where all you’re doing is relaxing and not doing anything important a few cocktails during your lunch is the best.
I used to also drink on lunch at my last job. I still did my work no problem, but then I hated how it felt to have 2-3 beers every day. I exercised all the time and still got a little heavier.
Yeah he said ‘brunch cocktail’ not kegs n eggs.
Which, inevitably, leads to a midday prayer at your nearest porcelain altar.
I used to wake up “still already drunk” and would slam whatever was available. But if I had my choice, Bloody Mary was my favorite. When living in New Mexico we would get a Mesilla Mary made from local chile and salsas. They were bomb.
Alas, I don’t indulge in alcohol anymore (2 years sober tomorrow!), but I still use those Hatch chiles in everything I cook.
Mary’s are damn classy, but I’m more of traditional kind of guy, so I go with screwdriver. Also an alcoholic, so go figure. But I will say this, nothing goes better with regret sex than mimosas.
Sonesta Maho breakfast buffet in St Maarten had unlimited mimosas with the meal for a total of 15 bucks a few years ago.
Good times…
mimosas cant go wrong especially if you get a nice crisp champagne. The drink wont be so heavy anyways, perfect for brunch.
Except I usually use hollandaise instead OJ.
I love mimosas, too, but you don’t make that with Champagne. Real Champagne–from Champagne region of France–is expensive as FUCK. You use that “sparkling wine” joint that’s about $5-10 a bottle to make gallons of mimosas, like restaurants. I mean, you COULD make it with real Champagne but you’re reaching a level of fancy I just can’t see from where I’m at.
My bloody marys can get a little ridiculous, too. Near where I lived a bloody mary came at $12 each. They are good, no lie, but the cost is nuts. I try not to spend $30 a day on drinking and those bloody marys crush my budget in just two drinks.
3 beers for brunch sets me up just right for a sunday nap.
No idea anything outside of Mimosa was acceptable as a Brunch beverage of choice…
There’s a seafood place around here that adds shrimp and fish sauce to their Bloody Mary recipe. Fucking amazing.
Not really a fan of day drinking, but I’ve had screwdrivers on special occasions and they weren’t too bad.
