Turtles can be annoying, but I never really let it get to me. I just figure out ways to defeat players with their particular style of turtling. The most annoying for me are the ones who use shotos. They turtle and either do one of two things:

[]Chuck Plasma
[]Wait for you to jump in so they can do a dragon-punch.

And the first option will almost always lead to the second option.
Lol after coming home and having time to read austin post, i realize he’s just pointing out that certain characters have better keep away moves and thats why people hate those certain characters more when they turtle, not that there cheap or unbeatable, or shouldn’t be played that. Thats all he’s trying to say I think lol, lol people quick to bash people.
Pretty Much
You guys where just acusing my Valid Statements as crying. I was not trying to come of as a whining at all…Jesus. I wanted to state that some characters have much better unique defensive options which makes them harder to open up then some others THATS IT.
( Im not saying there cheap, or Easy Mode, or anything which you guys must of thought then started to retaliate back at me for.)
If I could explain what I meant in person im sure you guys would understand me better. You guys got aggressive towards my post so quick, sorry for my lack of writing/typing to make you guys understand what I meant better…
Because noobs want their opponents to walk blindly into their button mashing with no resistance so they can acquire 10 billion player points in 2 hours and pretend they were just too much for the competition.
J/P lol
if you’re winning, your not doing anything wrong. just wanted to make that clear. the timer can be just as much of a weapon as any special or normal. If they are that bitter, relish in the fact that you not only beat them, but made them really salty at the same time. you did nothing wrong by winning, except pointing out the other players offense is a. one dimensional b. ineffective c. predictable or d. all of the above.
if they are really bitter, the answer is probably d.
There are good turtles and bad turtles. Good ones have great defense and will hold their ground (not just jumpback into the corner at the start of the round). Bad ones will put themselves in the corner for free and usually try to hit you with random semi-safe moves or pokes when you get too close. They will also panic when they are in the corner and eventually attack you, hoping that you will not react in time, or react in the wrong way
Bad Rog turtlers sometimes get to me when I play online. It’s so hard to punish unsafe or predictable dash punches. And then there is Blanka. That whole character is made for gimmicky turtles… Almost no setup or technique you learn from playing other characters will help you in the matchup either, since he has a weird hitbox that will screw up your combos and spacing, theoretically extremely punishable moves that nonetheless require strict timing to punish fully, and a weird delayed wakeup to screw up your meaty and safejump timings. And a mashable move that is positive on block (At least it has no invincibility, but if you miss your frame traps… Which tends not to be that uncommon because of the weird hitbox)
Yeah I hate the Blanka matchup. Especially online. It’s no wonder he’s Ono’s mascot. Blanka is a Troll.
^Huh? There are no bad turtles.
There are only successful turtles and those who fail.
Rog - punish unsafe dash punches - well if you can’t punish some :mp: dash straight at -6 frames and :hp: dash straight at -8 frames… there’s a problem.
:lp: dash straight can be made safe at max distance because it’s -3 frames on block. All TAP except level 1 are unsafe on block.
Blanka - yeah he’s mad annoying online, well, because it’s online. Just deal with it and try to predict what they’re going for. If you can make the blanka player annoyed it helps as well. He’s very reliant on you pushing buttons at the wrong time and doesn’t have much to answer to folks who can block, which usually makes Blanka start making mistakes.
you can always focus attack rogs doing predictable dash punishes for huge damage. you just need to react when they do the smash or tap instead of the straight/low dash punches
as for blanka just block and punish his balls. dont jump in on him on wakeup or you’ll eat up balls. walk a bit away when he does electricity and sweep. if he’s hopping around you can sweep/throw him. basically you want to antiair him a lot because he has no real ways to get in if your defense is tight - even a trade is better than getting knocked down, because thats when blanka becomes dangerous. also hit training mode and practice combos on a crouching blanka. like every other character in the game, you still need to be able to combo him, so figure out something that works if your regular bnb doesnt. dont do c.lp,c.lk xx headbutt on him when you know it doesnt work then get mad about his hitbox
If you’re using Remy or Q and getting complaints about turtling, it just means that you’re playing correctly against people who are dumb. Be a proud, mighty turtle!
Sagat loves it.
