High school diploma. I decided college wasn’t for me when I was in 10th grade. I rode it out and got a job immediately. I’m actually going to start my police training next month, so hopefully I can get a job doing that or something that has to do with my certification, like prison guard or armed security.
I think college is kind of a scam, personally. But that’s all they teach you in high school. Graduate, then go to college. No vocational programs, no specialty schools, no professional training. It’s either college or the Marines, because who wants to work for a living?! Obviously there are some fields that really do require a degree, like scientific or medical jobs, but overall you’re just going to incur a bunch of debt.
I just graduated with my Master of Science in Psychology back in December. I’ve been working on applications for a PhD program and I’ve been invited to interview next week. Out of hundreds of applicants only 6 were invited to interview and the school has 3 openings in the program, so I’m hopeful I’ll get in.
As an undergrad I majored in Psychology and minored in Philosophy with an emphasis in ethics and gasp feminism.
bachelor marketing and management. could have easily done masters in pretty much any direction. i was only at school half the time and when i was there i was always high of weed. basically got most of my schooling done without ever putting any effort into it. mainly because i studied what was easy to me and never applied myself. my little sister who rarely studied got her masters in criminal rights, european rights and international right iirc.
now that im older i actually find myself wishing i did more at school and actually studied in a direction that interrested me and where i could have pushed myself. i always took the easiest route so i could party every day of the week. was too much into pussy, making money and partying. at least i was the only black sheep, got 2 little brothers and 2 little sisters that all have bachelors or masters. i made all the mistakes so they wouldnt have to basically (i was the one with all the wrong friends doing all the dumb shit, at least i got my diplomas unlike most of my friends).
EDIT: specs is right in 1 thing though. a LOT of people that have masters or bachelor degrees are fucking dumb. just because you can study and get good grades doesnt mean youre smart. it just means you can study well. a lot of smart people i know actually never got their bachelors or masters. basically wrong lifestyles with some making more money than most graduates (they got millions), some being fucking junkies now and others being in jail, some for a very long time. the people who aint that smart but did get their diplomas at least made the smart choices with their lives. so even if they aint that smart they are still smart enough to make the right choics in life. also when i say not smart it still means a hell of a lot smarter than your average person with no education (people shuffeling in the streets).
For the record, classical feminist theory is vastly different than many of the current theories. What is and isn’t feminism is a huge debate, but I don’t want to turn this into a thread about feminism.
finishing my bachelor’s in biology and looking to get a phd in microbiology afterwards. looking back now i wish i would’ve majored in computer science. shitty thing about biology is you have to be in school for years and years before anyone takes you seriously. had i been CS i could’ve zuckerberged it out two years in and been swimming in the titties n fiddies right now
