What's the Highest Level of Education You Have?

An associates degree in computer science. But I want to go back to school to get a degree in Web development.

The chair of my department straight up told me that I couldnā€™t call myself an anthropologist since I didnā€™t have masters/doctorate. On the other hand, I gave other students better advising than they did.

You shouldā€™ve come down to UTEP just to hang out with Dr. Carmichael. As far as Archeology stuff goes, the dude is just a G in it. Unfortunately our Anthro department is huge amounts of ass. This is all before we get into how laughable a lot of Anthropology Theory is.

Tech School for diesel engines, as a Marine I attended the US Army school for Engineering the course is for repair of construction equipment.
shit load of military training, alot of it is for various equipment or weapons
A+ training
Never finish college

Bachelors of Arts. Art history. St. Johns to Art institute. Am i working in my major? Nope. Once Iā€™m in my mid 40s Iā€™ll prob be an art teacher or something. Iā€™m content with my current position ATM.

Iā€™ve had a ton a jobsā€¦really nothing sticks for meā€¦donā€™t be surprised if Iā€™m a cop in the next couple of months

Bachelors is Business Administration with a concentration in International Business.

Wish I concentrated on Finance, although the IB concentration has been quite useful in my current job.

Wellā€¦My English teacher wanted to flunk me in junior high, next semester Iā€™ll be 35.

In all seriousness, Iā€™m actually a Sophomore in High School.

Ha! If you ever get a chance to see The Mother Tuckers play, punch the drummer in the face for me!

I never got to meet Carmichael, but Iā€™ve referenced a lot of work he did on Bliss. Heā€™s definitely well respected in the archaeological community.

Iā€™m just a junior in high school, looking to major in chemistry and hopefully become a pharmacist.

You missed out. While Archeology isnā€™t really my thing (I mean its cool and all but I got into Anthro to study people), Dr. Carmichael is a pretty stand up guy. Did you ever make it to Hueco Tanks? If not you missed out double.

I would have had my Bachelors by now, but I originally quit university because I wasnā€™t prepared mentally. I bullshitted my way to high Aā€™s in high school and it carried me to decent marks for half my degree. Then a girl came along and I changed my degree to be with her.

By that time I was only 20 though. Now Iā€™m finishing that degree: IT majoring in Business Analysis, getting mostly As. Iā€™m also an ISTQB certified Test Analyst on top. After my degree Iā€™ll probably walk into a Grad job, do a Grad Diploma of something.

BS in Biology, Pharm D (Pharmacist). I specialize in IVs and chemotherapy.

Heck yes Iā€™ve been to Hueco! I actually played a show there once back in '07 or '08 for some rock climbing event at the ranch.

Unfortunately, critical thinking isnā€™t taught widely in schools, only methods to gain specialized skills. The resulting effect are graduates with a specific skillsets, but a lack of common sense wherewithal.

I have a bachelors in Art with an emphasis on Graphic Design.

Itā€™s my first year in college and more than ever confused about what I want to do. To be truthfully honest, I donā€™t want to do anything, but I know that wonā€™t sit well with my mom (black parentsā€¦). If I leave college, I wouldnā€™t be able to support myself. So Iā€™m relying on pure perseverance to get me out of this hellhole called college. I am leaning towards Computer Science or Biology though. Computer Science is likely gonna be my choice.

Freshman in university right now. I was a History major for 2 quarters and changed to a Biology major just last week, but this means that Iā€™m going to have to do 5 years to get my bachelors since all my class requisites are held back due to the major switch.

Iā€™m in my 3rd semester of getting my Associates in Applied Science in Cybersecurity/Networking

Thatā€™s good stuff man. If you have a Bachelorā€™s, youā€™re going to be even more attractive to employers.

-BS in Comp Sci/minor Computer Graphics(havenā€™t done graphics in years though)
-MBA

I know most people would only get a Masterā€™s for job promotion purpose. Not me though; I did it mainly so I can say to myself, ā€œMurrica College: Mission Comprete!ā€. I thought about getting Phd but meh, Iā€™m not planning to be a professor or anything.

Good luck future grads.

My levels are over 9000 and still rising!!!

Agreed, though to play devilā€™s advocate to my own post, I did know a select few teachers (some from catholic schools, of all places) who did advocate critical thinking pretty heavily, and to challenge their teachings where you had reason and backing to do so.

Iā€™d argue that specialized skills are better learned on the job for some people. Part of my ā€œfuck schoolā€ sentiment is bad fellow students/teachers and the unpleasantness of those experiences, but another big part is that what I do now (professional technical/marketing copywriting) I didnā€™t take a single course for; I taught myself, crafted my own samples, and used those to find work, where I learned further.

I realize that my experience isnā€™t everyoneā€™s though, and that school is very beneficial for many people. Learning however is awesome, for everyone.

-Bachelorā€™s in Computer Science and certificate in Game Design.
-Minor in Japanese. I want to get back into it a little more because my kanji reading ability is terrible and Iā€™m starting to forget the basic stuff I learned with the language.
-Doing some A+ training currently.
