Whats so great about Melty Blood?

Nothing’s so great about Melty Blood. :wonder:

OFF-TOPIC ALERT!!: Speaking of anime fighting games, I always had this idea for an Evangelion fighting game that would only be about the Evas and Angels. No angsty emos, no fanservice, no kawaii bullshit, no “ZOMG REI fapfapfapfap”, just giant bioengineered demigoddesses and huge angelic monsters beating the crap out of each other with progressive knives, laser whip tentacles, razor-edged toilet paper arms, positron rifles, and forearm bone spears. THAT would be worth playing, IMO.

And you wouldn’t have to worry about any squeaky high-pitched voices because most of the Angels are fairly quiet, and the Evas’ voices are about as far from stereotypically girly as you can get (you didn’t think those Adam’s Apples were just for show, did you?).

What’s so great about Melty Blood? Well, one of the biggest things I’ve noticed, is that compared to other anime-based fighting games, it’s relatively balanced and considered to be VERY competitive. Isn’t it like #2 or #3 in Japan right now? That was mentioned earlier in this thread. But yeah, let’s take a look: Naruto GNT!4 = broke, Bleach Heat the Soul = broke, Hokuto no Ken = broke. So far I have seen more complaints about MB’s graphics and/or presentation rather than its gameplay engine.

As I said, you can attribute that more to the fact that its a Type-Moon than it being a good competitive fighting game. Type-Moon is HUGE in Japan.

I am not sure about balanced. Each version has always had its tiers^H^H^H^H^H retarded characters and AC is not the exception. Let’s see how AC PS2’s original comes out. Even in the doujin field I don’t think its the most balanced or competitive game. Also, I don’t think its fair to compare the game to just the likes of Naruto and Hokuto no Ken and then say its good. If its a good game, as a fighting game, it should be comparable to other good fighting games.

Stop hating Vman.

fixed!

I wanted to get it but i don’t really like GGXX# that much so I doubt I’ll like this?

Give it a try anyway, you never know :O!

Despite my love for R1/2 as it was my first anime series, I’ll have to say you’re a fucking idiot for not understanding the true manliness of Hokuto no Ken.

I am not hating. Just stating what I feel about the game.

At least I can say I have played the game for a long ass time before making conclusions.

Still can’t beat the king of the manga/anime-based fighting games.

Jojo’s Bizzare f’ing Adventure.

cosplaying kenshiro on mid december …wa chaa ~!

i heard whoever reads it instantly grows chest hair

given that its based on an H-game, there’s OFFICIAL artwork with “hawt hawt action” involved. how many popular fighting games can you say boasts that? :wgrin:

Nice dodge. Now answer the question.
