What's more important: Balance or Uniqueness? What are the pros/cons of favoring each?

Shouldn’t that idiot be banned by now, considering the amount of idiotic stuff that he posts on daily basics?

What d3v said, i never played the XSF series, so i didn’t knew that she had it there before.
She had the cannon strike on SFA3 when you used the V-Ism, on CVS1 when using the ex version and CVS2.

I’m sadly not allowed to ban for idiocy.

Oh wow this topic went all scrub quotes

Posting on SRK because he thinks Capcom reads this site when Capcom-Unity exists… smh

Left the thread for a while, came back, was disappointed to find so many people who literally cannot conceive of a game that has both balance and diversity.

What was her moveset in Alpha 2 Gold?

Guilty Gear, Vampire, and a few others were mentioned sir.

IIRC, mostly the same old with no divekick.

did she have that weird charge super in it?

She had a different one that was done by holding :b:, then :f: :b: :f: +:p: . I think this was the one where she summoned Dic and he did a Psycho Crusher or something.

Sounds about right.

Geh. I wanted to test it, then I realized that I had SFZero Fighters Generation (which has Zero 2 Alpha) and not SFA Anthology (which has Alpha 2 Gold and Cammy).

It looks like it doesn’t even have a hitbox.

You can have balance and uniqueness. They aren’t exclusive from each other. Games that do it well are VF and KOF. The core systems are universal, yet the characters have their unique traits. Due to universal aspects, you as the player need to be more creative and know when universal beats unique, unique beats universal to outsmart the other player.

Even though balance is good to try to do, I say uniqueness is better. It doesn’t matter to me if the game is balanced if all the characters (kinda) play the same way. If all the characters play the same and I don’t like the way they are played, that is a problem for me. I want diversity in a character selection.

why necro this shitty thread

for me balance means that i won’t have to watch the same long coregrafie over and over again all day long… i, for one need a good harmonial balance between offense and deffense…

being a pro does not escuse ridiculous infinities i have to go through…

Actually, it has a pretty good hit box and it would’ve hit but that special of Birdie’s (I think it’s called Bull Head) has complete upper-body invincibility when he turns around.

I say the cast must be unique. No early mortal kombat with 7 characters just different colors.

Appearance has nothing to do with “uniqueness.” It’s all about how the characters play.
