WHatever happened to Super Pro?
Cool thread title. Classic DC.
Whatever happened to the Queen of Hearts? (Batvillain)
There was a batvillain named Queen of hearts? So I assumed she operated with Jarvin Tetch the Mad Hatter?
OH MY GOD SOMEBODY ELSE BESIDES ME KNOWS ABOUT THAT GUY!
It sucked, and it sucked really bad. So bad that marvel is pretending it never happened. He was jsut a dumb idea all around. FIGHTING CRIME IN CLEETS.
What happened to black bolton?
To my knowledge, she was not affiliated with the Mad Hatter–incidentally, also known as JERVIS Tetch.
The Queen of Hearts was a serial killer who dressed like (wait for it…) the Queen of Hearts. Her gimmick was that she would trap her victims, drill open their sternums with a handheld device, and collect their hearts. She stored the hearts in a big pile with a bunch of tiny heart-sized baby cradles, and she referred to the hearts as her “babies.” Batman had a chance to kill her and didn’t take it, so she went on a rampage. He followed her to Rio de Janeiro, which is where I stopped reading.
Come to think of it, she was very much a product of the late 80s/early 90s. A nutjob who cut out people’s hearts. What the fuck.
All I wanna know is, what the fuck ever happened to the Hypno-Hustler? ;0
I think the reason Marvel doesn’t talk about SuperPro (other than the fact that the comics were straight whack) is because they don’t have the NFL license any longer.
Sort of like with Rom - Marvel doesn’t have the license for him anymore, either.
Brother Power, The Geek?
Great thread!
Whatever happened to Longshot and Dazzler?
Longshot lost his memory and doesn’t remember Dazzler. They recently met again in the Die by the Sword mini, he is a member of Exiles and she is a member of Excalibur. But he still doesn’t remember her.
I don’t read comics nearly as much as you, but I read most of Maximum Carnage.
Whatever happened to Shriek (chick buddy with Carnage, black and purple catsuit, with black and white face paint, with sonic blasts) and Doppelganger? (Eight armed Spiderman with Venom fangs)
The Doppleganger died in Maximum Carnage. Carnage attacked Shriek, he got in the way to protect Shriek who he thought of as his mother. Carnage gutted Doppleganger and he fell several stories to his death.
Shriek is in the mental institution Ravencroft. In the Spider-Man Encyclopedia they state that the psychotherapy she is getting seems to be working. She hasn’t returned to comics yet.
I think Brother Power has just faded away because even Joe Simon couldn’t make him commercially successful. The last thing I can think of was The Geek oneshot from Vertigo back in the '90s. I think it was written by Rachel Pollack with Mike Allred artwork. Never read it. Been looking for a copy of it for a long time, though.
P.S. - Lol at sano’s mastery of the Maximum Carnage story and all its nuances.
Whatever happened to Robot Jones?
Whatever happened to Black Goliath? Oh, wait…yeah Clor got him. Ahh Civil War, bringing the obscure back to kill off.
I wonder if DC does this, you know with titles like 52 and Countdown. Wait…yeah, yeah they do.
I liked the Question to >_>
On a serious not: Whatever happened to that rainbow villain Spidey fought that made him laugh?
Whatever happened to Mr. A?
No idea who you are talking about, dang Spider-Man prolly has more villains than Batman and that’s a lot… Can you be a tad more specific? Sounds interesting.
Off hand I’m thinking of Lightmaster who could manipulate light but was all yellow so I’m guessing you are talking about someone else, man lots of Spidey villains…
Ditko became a crazy recluse, who wears tissue boxes as shoes, to rival Howard Hughes?
Last I heard, Frank Miller got in touch with Ditko and offered to do a joint project that resurrected Mr. A. Ditko tersely shot him down, but I’m still curious about the last days of the comic. Did it end? Did it just taper off into non-production?
Incidentally, Will Eisner described conversations with Steve Ditko as being like talking to a Russian commissar. I thought that was pretty funny.
