Speaking of tourneys I don’t know if Tblood wants me to mention this yet or not but for any one interested in tourneys Austin (tsukihimeblood) and myself are going to be running SFIV tourneys at his friends anime store. Hopefully at the beginning of April.
We’ll have to iron out the details with him when I get there I’m sure. (14 days! :woot:)
But we plan on running SFIV Singles and SFIV teams bi-weekly Ranking Battles.
It might be SFIV/Blazblu singles if we get the cab set up in time.
This is what we do know though:
Tournaments will be on Sunday (Don’t know what time but Austin and I are going to try for an all-day thing)
Will be on 360
Console characters allowed (this includes Seth.)
Double Elimination
It will be BYOC (bring your own controller)
10 dollars to enter (Don’t know about teams yet. Probably 20)
$7 will go to that weeks pot and will be split 60/30/10
The other $3 will go to the bonus pot for whoever wins the Ranking Battle Season (4 tournaments)
Point scale for winning is 1st: 10 points, 2nd: 7 points, 3rd: 4 points, 4th: 1 point
I’m not sure but it will likely be no outside food/drinks unless we clear it up with the owner.
The reason we are running Bi-Weekly instead of weekly is because from what I’ve been told people in Iowa (I.E. Des Moines) come to game from time to time. So this gives them time to plan and helps them on transportation so they don’t have to drive x amount of hours to and from every weekend.
None of this is set in stone and is subject to change but this is the rough details tblood and myself have worked out.

I hate I had to leave early. I was actually mad the whole nite because I thought my gf was being a cunt. I thought she was mad cuz she had to be up early for work I was planning of being back at the center since I dont have a 360/PS3 and my laptop sux arse. well, she found out that her temp job at Mutal fell through. so, yea. not good news at all.
Other than that, I’ll be at a mini-tourney @ my homeboi Banks house since he has it on 360. it’s a scrub match for the most part but yea, Imma try to be back at the center Sunday before I go back to UNO to study.
next time, Austin, bring out Abel/Zang more often. Grapplers give me the hardest times and the challenge is everything.

If 3s was as balanced as SF4 is…man. I’d like 3s more.
Im still not use to the new mp+mk shit. I like to parry more, but the mp+mk is more flexible when use correctly. From what I experienced when playing Austin, I got punished more for using it than I would if I even parried on accident in 3s.
in SF4, you dont need to mp+mk to survive/win matches, but in 3s it seemed like it was dependent on it.
Hey Astro City, did you say you play on DC do you play MvsC2. I have been looking for ppl to play with I have a DC and an old stick that I am planning to replace pretty soon. I used to play in Pittsburgh with some ppl but since I moved to the Midwest I don’t even touch it anymore.

hey guys anybody from the Gamestop tournament on 72nd in here? I just moved into the Omaha area a while ago and never really knew that the FFC had fighter cabs. I just thought it was all the kiddie ticket games and stuff on the bottom level. I’m thinking about going to FFC now that I know they have STHD and SFIV, I’ll probably go to the tournament there as well. If anybody wants to get together and play some more of SFIV I’m definitely down to get together sometime!
(I was the Sagat first round that ended with an Ultra Finisher. Then ate up E. Honda as Blanka but then lost because I played a Ken with Sagat…bad idea lol)
Yeah, I was the 3rd place Zangief player. My friend was the one who beat you with ken. I go to the FFC fairly often gimme a pm if you want to meet up or somthing.

I know Its so new to say anything but…I just dont like 4 at all right now. I I know I dont know what hell I’m doing yet but from an artistic standpoint I still cant believe they went in that direction.
Ryu n Ken look so bulky, their pants are all tight n shit. They have these American MK looking faces. I’ll take animation over that rendered looking shit anyday. Fei Long looks promising imo but after that I dont give a shit about that game. I love the streetfighter 3 sprites and fluid animation.
I’m looking forward to KOF 12! StreetFighter should not have let KOF beat them to the punch with large High res sprites!
I get the feel of MK playing SF4. The fireballs n shit(MK Deception) The wierd gravity when I jump. Dont even get me started on the roster. I got NO love for these newbys. Took me years to get used to the 2nd impact cast. But after while i was like hey these mothafuckas are sick. When they added Makoto I was like damn this shit may get even better.

Crimson Viper looks like a Nutrino from the turtles cartoon. I think StreetFighter ex 1 had a better roster man. Why not just put Haggar in the game instead of making Gief wear his shit? last time i was there everyone was playing 3s. i didnt get into it enough to be competative. there were only a couple mvc2 players who werent good enough for me at the time. and sf4 i been playing since arcade release so i can hold my ground very well in it. learning brawl just cause i feel like it. and hdr…whats there to know? throw frames.
so yea…leaving my systems here in phx but ill pick up new ones when i get there.
