I’m goin up to FFC to play SF4 tonight. Hopefully everything will be in working condition. From what I’ve heard they put a lot of time into these cabs and got good sticks/buttons.

Did they make cabs for consoles and running it that way?
Of course. I have some hopes since the STHD cab wasn’t too bad. The only time I’ve seen it not work well is when the 360 RROD’d and when they took the cab out to update it for SF4.
I wasn’t really sure if there were more than one, or if that was the place I remember seeing. I just remember “FAMILY FUN CENTER” painted on the side of the building real ghetto and shit.
I’m working on getting adapters put together to run sf4 (360) on one of my cabs. When I do, you guys are welcome to come over and give it a whirl. (no assholes, tough guys, please)
I see, well when I come by on the 6th I might just have to take a gander. American style sticks/buttons I take it? Never seen anything different at FFC.
I may have to come if FFC has SF4 now. It really made me upset though when they took out MvC2.

If so where did you get it or do you know where I could pick one up? I’ve been trying to get one forever but I don’t want to pay crazy stupid shipping fees to get it imported.
Yes, I have an Astro and a Namco Exceleena. I have a guy in Omaha that has a “route” and sometimes gets machines from other ops (arcade operators) from surrounding states. It’s the type of situation where he might negotiate to buy like 20 games from someone, and a candy or 2 will be in the mix. Thats when I come in and sweep them up, 
. I just got the Astro last summer, the exceleena a year ago, so they aren’t exactly “commonplace” in the midwest as I’m sure you already know.
If I see something that I’m not going to buy (I really think 2 is my max) I’ll be sure to let you know about it. I’ve also got a standard wood US style cab, but I really hate it nowadays.
I know Matsu in Cali from the neogeo forums gets them from time to time, so they ARE available in the US, but you are still paying for shipping from one of the coasts.
If you know of more guys in the NE/IA/MO area that want a candy, I can talk to some of my guys and maybe we can get a group buy going on…but thats a long shot!

Hrmm… my friend who ordered a Blazblue kit needs a cab to put it in. We’ve been talking about just ordering two Astro City cabs and splitting the shipping costs since it’s cheaper if you buy multiple.
Is there a scene at all in Lincoln? I know there was an ok Bemani scene for a bit but I haven’t heard of many fighters in that area.
Aside from me, and a handful of my friends, and a couple of guys my friend plays with, no. No scene at all. I try to hold it down with the cabs, but nobody is really into it anymore. They all want to play Halo and are the “big man on campus” types of guys.
Champions fun center had a few machines a couple 2-3 years ago, but they are gone now. We had an arcade in gateway mall with 3s mvc2 and eghriez, but thats gone now too.
Most of my friends are all pad only, so online has been working pretty good. I tried to get them setup on GGPO, but that was not happening, lol.
Let me know if you get any real numbers for the astros, I might be interested as well. My cabs are FAAAAAAAAAAAR from “mint” or even what I would consider “nice”. Works in progress, but it’s a labor of love
