WHATAMIFIGHTINGFOOOOOOOOO!: the MvC3 Zero Thread

In both gameplay vids, I noticed just before doing raikousen (the lightning attack) in a combo he does a flame attack which lifts them in the air slightly. Anyone know what move/command it is? I didn’t see marn use it on the stream but I want to try out this combo when I play later this week

Yeah that’s it. For the OP: it’s Hyper Zero Buster or just Z-Buster not Blaster. You spoke about it earlier in the thread but which button do you think would be best to dedicate to charging it up? I’m guessing using A would work fine while just sticking to B and C during the ground and air combos

In TvC, you can actually switch the button you are using to do the charges, so if you need the other buttons to attack you just hold a different button. I’m pretty sure it’s how it’ll be implemented in MvC3, but we won’t know until it’s fully out or someone tests it.

That sounds like it might be a little easier. I’ll try it out anyhow

Does anyone think his Clone hyper will be useful at all?

I am thinking maybe ground combo --> call assist to continue combo (Wesker, Ammy, Dante etc.) then while the assist is attacking activate super for a very hard hitting air combo, that’s if the enemy juggle well with 2 Zero’s attacking.

I wonder what happens if you do Rekkoka while in clone state. Also can air combo —> charged shot -----> lightning dive and before you launch them back up, would it give you enough time to activate and follow it up with the launch?

Man I am so spending my whole first weeks with this game in training mode.

Rekkoha blocked does an amazing amount of chip on Deadpool. :smiley:

The question is, does pushblock affect it? The other player didn’t think about it so he just kinda ate it.

edit: I was checking videos of the stream from CES and blocked Rekkoha does roughly about 1/3 the damage of raw Rekkoha for a good estimate.

Pushblock should. Heck, shouldn’t pushblock push you OUT of the Rekkoha?

I’m thinking it does, but if you’re in the corner you’ll eat it since you’ll be stuck in place. Still, if the opponent isn’t pushing back due to either not thinking about it or not wanting to give up positioning it’s something to consider.

I just realized, with Sougenmu affecting normals, what’s keeping a jump in attack followed immediately by a low from being unblockable? Does the shadow always hit mid or something?

It may well be unblockable if you do a lowest possible jumping attack so they actually do hit at the same time. Try it out when the game is released.

And I think Deadpool is considered to be an average health character. I can imagine that chip on Chun or the likes.

Maybe if you do a low jump then fast follow it up with a low. Could work with sweep —> activate then if they dont roll jump and set up the theory unblockable. I am going to try this out. 33 days left.

At 1:28 you can see how Zero’s qcf projectile is soo good to get in, is basically a support assist that you use to get in, but now you are doing it by yourself. Have to try however how many shots it can take, Deadpool tried to shoot it once but didn’t collapse.

The projectile was amazing in TvC…main problem was that it was a chargeback motion on a low-health rushdown character so nobody used it except wiimote spammers.

Glad to see it finally gets to shine.

It may even work to do some nasty training mode combos :slight_smile:

I could try it out on Saturday (at the Fight Club). I haven’t seen Sougenmu used at all so I’ll play around with it as much as possible

I’m assuming Rekkouha while in Sougenmu (if it works) would increase it’s damage a good deal. I’m wondering if I recover after the first Rekkouha and the clone isn’t finished with his, then I could go for another one. Just pictured it in my head, and something like that would be REAL sick but it’s most likely wishful thinking

Also try to see which are good assists for Zero. Maybe try some to get in (Doom Molecular Shield, Amaterasu Ice Shot) and try to if Zero can combo out of Burning Kick assist. That would be a huge bonus for an unblockable game.

c.A, c.B, f.C(1 hit) xx qcf+C, juggle s.A, s.B, s.C(all hits) xx qcf+C(hold C), E, sj.A, sj.B xx release C (Zero Buster), sj. qcb+C(??), land, E, sj.A, sj.B, sj.C, sj.E, land, Dante Corridor, Sougenmu, [s.C xx qcf+C] x 3…

Sougenmu followup is speculation. I’ll keep the rest of the combo to myself. :razz:
