How is Yashiro Top Tier, I can never beat anyone with him (easily)?
I never said Yashiro was top tier. U assumed that. But he sure is hell aint bottom. And if u cant beat anybody with Yashiro its because U cant play him. Not because hes bad. Simple but damaging combo with regular yashiro: j.D, s.C, fwd+A, hcf+AC, qcf+C, qcfx2 P super. There u go over 50%. And i play O.Yashiro and i win all the time. Just because u cant play a char doesnt mean there low tier. It means dont play this char and pick someone else.
I like watching Vanessa in 2002, every time she launchs someone she go’s into her super, and she has a 100% damage combo.
And who is that guy with the eye-patch I saw a vid of someone using him and he ownd Yuri and Whip.
Iori are Vanessa really strong… I’ve never had trouble with a billy chara… athena def and choi is a bastard

Dude…97, 98, and 2002. 1999 is also pretty good…Kensou is the shit in that game. I really say, try 02 first, that’s one of the best. If you wind up a hardcore KOF fan like me, I’d say get all the games.
The first KOF I played was the Gameboy version of 95. I was like 7 years old when I played it. I played it for about 2 years. My sister accidentally throws it away while helping clean the house. Fast forward a couple years. I get KOF '99. I start playing that shit like there’s no tomorrow. Fast forward a couple more years. I get the 02/03 pack and become the happiest mofo in the world. I’m about to get 00/01 myself for Christmas. w00t w00t.
In '03, Daimon is a fucking BEAST. One of his DMs is a counter, and he still has a shitload of good moves. Also, just like always his standing :snkd: is a bitch. He’s like top tier in 03. My team is Daimon, Robert, and Iori in that game. I only use Duo Lon sometimes. Just a damn shame that there’s no Seth or O. Chris in '03.
Seth in '02 is mid tier. Seth in MI is hella top-tier. However, lately I’ve taken a bit of a break from playing Seth…my 02 team is Kensou, Ryo/Robert, and O. Chris. Geese is dizzope in ‘02 PS2 version, but you have to beat 40 stages of Time Attack to get him, and he’s even better in CvS2 anyway. You can also unlock Shingo…who is fuckin’ dope. Any word on XI being released in the US? Is it already in US arcades?
Is there a good site for KoF vids? Like tournies, or do they have some on the Evo dvd?

Ralf has no abusable shit in 2k2. He has some half-assed pokes, nothing close to Daimon’s D, Yashiro’s B, Iori’s D or hell even Kula’s B. All his moves are hella punishable. So I don’t know how you even get semi-playable out of him. His c. C which isn’t that great to start off with is the only move that combos into anything. Wait no, his sc. C combos, but good luck landing it. It’s impossible to hit confirm anyway since it doesn’t cancel into a command move for a combo. This means Ralf has mediocre pokes and a throw. And a whole lot of highly punishable shit unless your opponent doesn’t know the autoguard properties of ralf’s moves.
I don’t play against nor play with Yashiro at all. So I couldnt’ say if he sucks or not. I do play o. yashiro though. However, he was nerfed horribly from his 98 days so I ain’t that familiar with him, but he’s still got some shit.
Seth also sucks the shit in 2k2. I don’t know what you’re thinking of. He’d be great if you could combo shit after cancelling into his normals. But you can’t late cancel any of his normals into super. His best way to confirm super is sc.C or sc.D qcf A/C super cancel qcf x 2 A/C. But that costs 2 bar. You also can’t combo his sc. C/D off of a jump in which means he’s entirely crouch blockable. That fucks up any possibility of sneaking in a qcfhcb+K super which may surprise opponents since it hits low. This means his only real way to get damage is to use counters. And counters suck.
Seth still sucks in my books. I do love the way his sc. C f+B f+A combos though.
Billy is retarded. Not only does he have the best pokes in the game. j.A, j.C c.A hcf C qcf C, CD f+A etc. He’s got some lame ass combos too. c. B c. B DP+B j. C (you can actually land the first hit of his qcfx2 super here, but it’s not worth the damage). And he has (corner) j. D c.C f+A (link) c. C f+A.
Ralf does have some abusable shit in 2k2/NW…watch some SBO3 or vids ON OROCHINAGI.COM…you will see a beasty Ralf abusing the CD attack and using it CH style to setup stuff. He also hitconfirms cr. C to COmmand Grab and if blocked is pushed back safely…
IMO, KoF 97’s Ralf was definatly TOP TIER, along with Benimaru…and 97 Beni was the sexiest evah
Neither Vice nor Mature are bottom in '02 (Mature’s actually much improved over '98, but of course this won’t matter much to anyone who doesn’t know how to play her).

I tried to play Mature but i just dont like here playstyle. And i hear lot that shes low tier, but to each his own i guess. And Billy is much more abuseable than call is making him to be. J. A is not that good imo opinion cuz u have j.CD, j.D, and j.C. Billy’s fwd+A is ridiculously abusable. Like i dont have words for it abusable. And for his combos, the best one i can think of is (corner) cr.B X2, DP + B, qcfhcb P super.
I mean jump straight up A. j.CD, j.D and j.C are all for jumping forwards/backwards/hop. and his qcfhcb+P super has to be the best corner wakeup move in the game. It’s not all that great since it’s sorta punishable, but the 2 seconds your opponent spends there locked down or if he got hit (in which case you can do it again) absolutely wrecks his mental. Nobody can stand blocking for too long.
Billy’s biggest weakness is lack of dependable anti-air. It’s worse than playing DJ in ST. If Billy doesn’t get the lock down, Mai Choi Athena and Yuri can run circles around him.
Thats pretty much a given. Cuz Billy cant take rundown too well. but get them in the corner and cr.C, fwd+A to death. They cant do shit unless they CD u.
k, here’s my take on Vice.
s.D is a beautiful meaty. Easy hit confirm into qcb +p qcf + P, hcbf + p, or hcbx2 + k super. qcfx2 + p is a beautiful punisher. And c.B s. B s. C and s. CD are all good pokes. j. CD and j. B and j. D are all pretty decent air to air as well. qcb+p of course combos off of all her normals if you can hit confirm. that and c.B c.B s.B s.C s. CD xx hcf+K is one of the better block strings in the game.
Leona is also pretty much a dark horse I don’t think she’s quite top tier but she’s up there…
