It’s NYC so food is a given.
The problem isn’t the saying, the problem is non SRK people who have nothing to do with the community trying to scam kids of their hard earned cash. SRK tournaments are by SRK for SRK.

NYC is usually a terrible idea.
90% of people drive to tourneys. NYC is not very driver friendly.

I mean, NYC isn’t terribly difficult to navigate but ya even as a resident I wouldn’t want to drive to a NYC based tourney :P. Are locations in Long Island just no good?
You don’t like NYC but you want one in LI, do you live in LI by any chance?
I wish someone would hold a major in NYC, NYC is far greater than what it has become.

Eh. LI isn’t a bad consideration. If you all can find a venue in Nassau, maybe Valley Stream, Roslyn or surrounding areas (close to the city, but not quite in) I’m sure cats wouldn’t mind a 5-10 min drive from the city.
Thing is, how would they get there from the train, etc. Housing should be good though as I’m sure people who live in the city wouldn’t mind letting SRK people stay.
Personally, I’d prefer something more like Sinsation… around the DMV area, but bigger. People could drive here from anywhere, + there are good places to go eat after the tourney… (+sightseeing in DC/Bmore if you want to)
Its a nice area overall here. The Sinsation venue was pretty nice, but if a bigger one can be found for a decent price (hard to come by these days) that would be nice as well.
