George was schoolin’ me on mvc2 basics. He was watching over my shoulder the whole time making sure I did it right and if I didn’t, I’d have to do it over again and again. It was like mvc2 bootcamp. But because of that, I’m picking up marvel a t-bit. Nothing to write home about but it’s still a work in progress.
well that’s how it’s been for almost everyone learning. That’s how you learn get and get better and I appreciate it. At least it doesn’t happen as much to me any more. I can beast some of the people who always beasted me now.
We could play some other games, I’m only pretty good at marvel, you would probably beast me in other fighters, but I wanna learn.
I know…but like I said…I apparently missed something when I left my local scene in Houston (in which I managed to stay on even grounds with everyone else), then moved up here and beasted on my new locals, yet got MAD BEASTED when I went anywhere else. Its not like I’m discouraged from playing ever again (that’ll NEVER happen)…but I need someone to practice with thats at least slightly above me…not light years…and of course, lessons on what the hell I missed (which George has been doing a good job of supplying, but because of life being the way it is right now, I haven’t had much “study time” if you know what I mean)
its appreciated indeed, when I can actually figure out where I’m fucking up…and in other games, its easier for some reason, but in MvC2, its simply a matter of the top tiers being characters I don’t like playing as, on top of mine being not so great…so that stigma of “doomed to fail” is a little discouraging…
What else do you play though? I play A LOT of shit (the Soul Edge/Blade/Calibur series is officially my WORST fighter.)…Jim says I play too many damn games…
If it’s a fighting game I’ll play it! (well maybe sooome exceptions)
yeah I play soul calibur (2 mainly) not THAT good, but I can hold my own.
I want to play others but need someone to play. we can play some marvel too, I have to practice my chunli.
