Can’t blame? Most of the characters that got into USFIV are truly the most popular…
Plz no, tired of capcom rehashing the same old shiet and getting away with it. Go bold with new characters. Old characters that should return include ibuki, sagat, guile, ken, and akuma. I have to admit though, lately capcom new characters design have been shiet as of late beside juri.
As long as M. Bison is in it, I would not mind.
Do you think Guy and Cody should come back? Adon? Gen? Rose?
I don’t know. I don’t really care for those characters.
Mmm… Most people criticizes harshly the new Street Fighter characters
I wouldn’t mind if they reused moves from older characters and gave them to fresh new faces.
Is not about %
Put in ones i like, give death to those i don’t
What capcom should have done is put the EX characters in it I just hope they have the brains to put them in Street Fighter 5 but unfortunately that will never happen
If SFV came out with 25-40 characters, I’d honestly pass on it.
Honestly fuck that shit.
3 reasons why I hate USFIV sometimes is because of the roster size, netcode and because it’s fucking OS-Fighter IV,
I’d be very happy if SFV at least took care of 1 of these problems, while I use that term loosely, since it’s just my personal opinion that big rosters fucking suck.
I think the roster should not exceed 30 characters at any point in the game’s time.
22-24 oldies and the remainder all new.
Now that you mention, I’d like a new version of Charlie with new gameplay and moves (what about performing his sonic booms/flash kicks by holding a botton and release it?), and an EX version of Charlie who plays like Alpha Charlie.
SF4 was basically a SF dream-match game. It had all of the most popular characters regardless of story/timeline.
How many polls did they do for favorite character during its life? Capcom solicited us for all kinds of feedback throughout SF4. Remember they asked us to post on Unity what we wanted to see from Ultra?
Whatever comes of SF5 will be heavily influenced by all of that.
I want 5 to be something more along the lines of Alpha as far as new-to-old character ratio.
I bet you a million bucks that Decapre will NOT be in the game. At least not in the initial version. Maybe make the cut for Super.
That would be so dirty and low, even for Capcom!
After they introduced her to me and made me love her they gonna take her away forever?
I even made a [thread](Street Fighter IV Hates Charge Characters before the 5th character was revealed, complaining how Capcom hated charge characters.
It’s like they made Decapre for me!
How many times must it be stated that Capcom doesn’t own those characters? Arika does that’s why capcom doesn’t bring them back.
I would like to see the roster size reduced. USFIV roster size rivals UMVC3. That’s insane. Just give us 25 - 30 solid, diverse characters. Bring back the world warrior 8. Some fan favs from each Street Fighter. I.E. R.Mika from Alpha, Alex from SF3, Juri from SF4, maybe even a EX character. And a few brand new ones. Like maybe a Canadian fighter so there’d be a Canadian fighting game character other than just Sasquatch.
Theres this thing that’s weird about people in that when you ask them what they want its usually more of the same the shit they are already know. People are going to keep asking for more of the same shit (old characters etc etc) because they cant imagine what else could be introduced. Relax and enjoy the uncertainty because new stuff can be just as good as the same old shit.
Capcom will hedge its bets bringing back the old favorites while also introducing some new fighters. I’m sure someone out there did a focus group or some shit to determine the ideal ratio of new characters to returning ones in order to maximize consumer interest.
I would have different returning characters, but this guy has the right idea. Go bold. A good portion of the returning characters should be ones that didn’t appear in SF4 (Alex, Karin, Eagle, etc).
There doesn’t look to be anyway of going about this without stepping on toes. Regardless of anything, you’re going to have characters that are left out and people are going to be upset. On the other hand, I can’t imagine too many people being thrilled about playing a game with largely the same roster as USFIV. Imagine the whiplash.
And I’d rather not start SFV having to learn a million match-ups and I know others feel the same. I think the best solution for Capcom would be to find a way to measure the amount of interest of each individual character in order to determine who should return, while also making sure to add some characters who weren’t able to make a return and newer characters to spice up the roster at the same time. Good fucking luck with that, Capcom. There is no way they are going about this without getting shit on, haha.
