10 years from now, SFIII: Third Strike will probably become like what ST is today. A classic game that rarely gets played anymore outside of Japan.
New Street Fighter games and other fighters would have come and gone.
What are some things that people will remember about this game 10 years from now?
Discuss.

I don’t want to turn this into another Rockefeller appreciation thread, but this can’t be stressed enough. He definitely deserves more credit for popularizing fighting game commentary in the US; I was glad to hear James Chen giving him props for it during that SRK podcast.

Wow seeing your list metric makes me realize how long 3s has been a part of my life, and even though it’s never been a MAIN part it has always been there in the background for the last 6-7 years or something. So many nice memories already, hope there will be more of them 10 years from now though. 3s for life <3

Since we’re mentioning players, I think if there’s someone who deserves to be remembered, it should be KO.
He’s been absent from the 3S world these days because of Gundam, but for a little under a decade he has been one of the most dominating players. Mester was the first SA3 Yun, but KO took him way further, winning Evo twice against Daigo at his peak. Despite never winning SBO, he’s the one who has made the most consistent performances with at least Top4 finishes every year except 2008. He’s just as big an influence on the Japanese as Kuroda; Boss and Roshihikari were well-known Yang players, but KO made Yang popular(with Roshihikari admitting this during one of the Bingo tournaments).
