What was so bad about MSH vs. SF?

i remember now it was spiderman, shuma, and then wolv. Were like the best in MSH.

My best team was Wolv and black heart, in MSH vs. SF blackhearts med punch was really good

MvSF Blackheart is very underrated. His jumping strong was awesome, his stand and low forward were good, and his fierce demons were excellent. The slower pace of the game really helped him a lot.

I played a lot of Blackheart/Dan and Blackheart/Gief. Blackheart was that good.

Besides Wolvy (who Blackheart can do ok against) his only bad matchup was Dhalsim. Omega Red could be annoying with the wrong strategy in that jumping fierce is basically useless against him.

i like usin bh with shuma since shuma can use the meter bh build up so well.

too bad they both take too much damage tho. but still, the game sux

MvSF rules for one reason: the code that makes Dan flop onto the stage and explode at the beginning of the match. This is the single greatest feature of any videogame ever made.

Sonic Reaper doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

The infinite will kill. fierce a lot into dizzy. Speedup again into infinite into super into die.

BH/Meph, OR and Iron Body Gief can kinda-sorta counter half-ass Wolverines. But Wolvy is the de facto king.

i thought MSH VS SF was ok.

its like also saying MvC1 Vs MvC2? why do ppl like mvc2 better lol

i myself dont really like mvc1

Actually it goes.
MSH
1-Spiderman
2-Captain America
3-Wolverine

No offence to all you claiming Wolvy king, but honestly, you sound like a bunch of scrubs and whiners “Waa waa Wolvy is top tier, waa waa speed-up super waa waa”. If you’re careful, you can keep him out with pushblock, and if he decides to activate speed-up super, there’s no reason to be on the ground, especially if you’re using BH (who IS underrated, I agree). For BH MK > MP IMO.

Bison was another contender too; longest throw range and retardedly good normals.

I don’t know what I’m talking about? Go fuck yourself. I used to play the game religiously with other excellent players.

Like who? LOL… what constitutes an “excellent MSF player”? There aren’t any standards to go by. Any random idiot can say he played with “excellent” players in random games no one cares about.

If you’re careful, you can keep him out with pushblock? How about I just throw you? Sure, I don’t get you into infinite, but that hardly means anything if I can get meter at will. Like I said, BH/Meph works on half-ass Wolverines. He has a lot of the same problems he does against Magneto in MvC2, though. You can’t really legitimately beat a character who can both run away and rush down at will.

Don’t get all butt offended either. I’m not trying to say you suck, just that you make it obvious that you don’t know what you’re talking about when you say Wolverine “isn’t that good”.

BH MK is a great jump-in with the downward angle, I like to mix MP up with jumping fierce. I do a lot of jumping fierce and jumping MP is a nice mixup that will hit people who think they are going to rush in under some demons. But yeah, I use jumping MK far more in general.

I don’t think anyone is a scrub or whiner for saying that Wolvy is easily the best character in the game. Once he has meter he’ll activate speedup and from then on he’ll have meter basically forever. Sure you can super jump around but you have to hit the ground sometime and pushblock doesn’t do much against a character that can dash from one side of the screen to the other in a half second.

It’s hard to say that anyone has an advantage over Wolvy, and there are plenty of characters who are nearly hopeless against him.

It’s just insane that the fastest character in any vs. game is in the slowest vs. game.

Your counters to Wolvie’s speed up aren’t even effective counters. You say push block. I still charge meter. You’re still blocking, I land a throw. I do damage in and charge meter. You say don’t stay on the ground… I do SJ mp and still charge meter. You touch the ground eventually . You even get hit by 1 move on the ground… you get dizzy. How are you even mounting any sort of offence.

Wolvie is easily #1 in MvsSF. Where are these “excellent players” located??? Saskatoon??? Kaillera??? LOL.

If you push block, how exactly are you landing a throw? It pushes you far enough away to give me to time to react to your next move or jump.

I suppose since my main was BH I never had as much trouble with Wolverine players. His speed up super was never a round breaker. I was more afraid of his retarded normals and easy as cake combos. If you’re going to crown Wolvy, those would be better reasons IMO.

BH has some pretty retarded traps in the air and in the corner, so even if you’re jumping with MP (which IS a retarded normal, I agree), it won’t do you much good against a good BH player.

And your statement is one of the reasons the scene is dying/dead: elitism. Yes, there were some fucking good players in Saskatoon. This game isn’t rocket science, there are/were good MvSF players all over the world. Just because someone isn’t in the spotlight, doesn’t mean they’re not a good player. Get your fucking head out of your ass.

To reiterate, I agree Wolvy is top tier for sure, however, I don’t think he’s unbeatable or the end all be all of the game. The game is still worth playing and a majority of the cast can still hold their own.

If I run up with speed super and then throw you… you can’t push block. Wolvie’s speed up super makes it easier to land those “retarded normals” and “easy as cake combos”. You haven’t mentioned any type of offence that you can use against Wolvie when he has the speed-up super.

Wolvie is #1 unquestionably in this game.

In the end it doesn’t really matter what wolverine can do. The game just sucks, it’s easily the worst game in the vs series. And I’d rather play children of the atom over that game. And children of the atom is a pretty bad game too. But then again I’ll take marvel super heroes over every vs game.

super jump mash med punch then speed up super, its that easy, if u watch the old vids of tournaments, everyone and there mom uses Wolv.

people didnt call him top tier they called him god tier

I’ll play you for money. LOL

and ill play you for money:arazz: LOL

PS:sup son long time!

Erik, u get my mesage?

chunksta said you can stay wit him @ evo

I agreed with this. I was just saying Wolvy is not unbeatable. He’s strong, and he has a lot of advantages, but to think he’s worse than the top tiers in even MvC2 for example, is strange.

And I don’t see why people say the game sucks outside of opinion (obviously … >_>). Personally I think it’s a solid game and a solid game engine.

Red can take Wolvy. I’d play a money match with a Red/BH team against Wolvy/whateva anyday.

oh shit. I dont think he can comeback now.
