Y’all need to learn to read. And there’s no disputing this. The game isn’t 100% balanced, but I never said it was. It’s the most balanced versus game, there’s no disputing that.
Personally, I really liked the game. It was an interesting meeting point between something like SFII and any of the other completely insane versus games. It was just right IMO.
And Wolverine isn’t that bad. He was a bitch up close, for sure, but Blackheart and Dhalsim can play keep away really well in this game. The game had a lot of counter characters, especially among the top tier. Everyone (with the exception of a few, notably Dan) could compete regardless.
i like msf alot too, but saying is the most balanced vs game doesnt mean anything, its still the most boring one by far and most limited, even i can admit that.
and yes wolvie is that bad, we already know his speedup super is worse han genei, like i said before…yes, blackheart and sim can play keep away but all wolvie needs to do is to hit ou once and its over. they also arent op tier but they can hold their own weight, yes, agreed
Shadow, Sakura, Dark Sakura, Chun Li, Ken, Dan, Shuma Gorath, were all pretty bad. The gap between the top tier (Wolvie, Omega Red) and the bottom tier in MSF seems a lot bigger then in XSF.
I’ve only played the US version, so I’m not sure where Norimaro would fall on the tier category.
Besides the gameplay, I liked this game alot for its presentation and music. Wolverine took all the fun out of it building up meter and speed super. If you wanted to put Shuma and Chaos Dimension all day.
I think it is much better then Xmen vs. SF, but a lot of arcade owners in my area did not buy it because they were like, “wait didn’t I just purchase X-men vs. Sf?” I think that’s what it boils down to, arcade owners (unless they are gamers themselves) don’t understand upgrades, much like going from SF3 to SF3:2nd Impact. There was only one arcade in my area who would buy the upgrades and or sequels because they realized that there was a huge difference. MSH vs. SF was balanced and no one was overpowering not even Wolverine.
the graphics were an eye sore, the gameplay was crappy and boring, the assist aspect was kinda shitty, and that’s that… armored spiderman is the only saving grace as far as i can see… i just wasn’t sure if people liked the game and whatnot… but i guess not many do.
the characters are so toned down the game becomes so unfun to play. mshvsf has some killer music and a killer announcer but thats about it. i’d play xvsf or mvc1 over that crap any day of the week.
Am i the only person who thought Mvc> the rest? Come on guys MVC2 had horrible presentation and really really bad music. If mvc2 had some decent music maybe i wouldve enjoyed it more.

No offense but if people believe Wolverine isnt that bad in this game I dont think they've been playing the right wolverines. He's godlike in MSF. I'd even go as far as saying this is the BEST wolverine incarnation of any marvel (Capcom) game. Omega Red and spiderman(s) do good too in high level play but at the end of the day its all about wolverine in MSF.
i dunno, i think mvc1 wolverine is still the best wolverine incarnation because of his broken combos. i’ve found retarded new uncombo+FSD stuff that is just silly. i think i actually found a new infinite that’s nothing but uncombo, takes about 5 reps to kill in corner.
Well, I wouldn’t say that. Wolvie in MvsSF is #1 unquestionably. While in MvC1 he’s below Strider… probably below GWM also. Of course, if your new infinite combo/uncombo actually brings him to #1… then it’s possible.
Pretty much any vs. game has some level of brokenness. I find that MVC2’s brokenness is just too much, especially when I like to pick mid-tier to low-tier characters (before I even knew about tiers). Having to deal with a storm that’s 100 feet up in the air is no fun. I was hoping Capcom Fighting Evolution would be more along the lines of the versus series (probably the best and simplest engine to adapt 50+ characters to one game), since Marvel is no longer with them.
