there is no future of fighting games, it’s become an official language now that has absolutely no room for growth.
My thoughts? I don’t care. I’ve been into them since SF2, and I’m old school in what I like, and methods. I don’t even care for a lot of these new people; shut-in’s who would have never come to an actual arcade in the day. And in the grand scheme of things, apparently SFV is the only thing that matters. I wasn’t into SFIV either, but last gen just had sooo much to offer outside of FG’s, I couldn’t even care less how FG’s fare anymore.
Damn the negativity is too much. Sounds like some people need to take a break from fighters, both playing and talking about them.
Not so sure, but what we do know is that the future of Street Fighter is very questionable at this point.
And I’m patiently waiting for SFV down fall. Once street fightert stop being the face of 2d fighter, people will be inclined to try new one or abandoned the genre altogether ( not likely). Make no Mistake that SNK and Sony made Solid game with KoF14 but it only got its momentum and stardom due how SFV is handle.
I will keep buying fighting games as long as they keep making anime fighting games.
It will be some turn-based bullshit.
Is that why people are always talking about turns and stealing turns in sf5?
I foresee the rise of the YOMI COUNTER and its evolution into the YOMI system, which turns fighting games into bouts of absolutely nothing
I don’t think it matters what the current state of fighting games is, just enjoy the games as long as you can before the world blows up.
I agree people are so negative. lol
This is no joke this is serious
The OP’s friends retired to play Overwatch
This is what happens when the community abandons games based on fundamentals. Like Senor Footsies.
