So we need to write HTML if we want to quote somebody. Hm.
Things are clearly getting organized over time. An early release was fine and I think it was important because it lets local scenes still organize their events and meetups. I met two new dudes over the weekend and wanted to show them the local thread on SRK for our fightgame stuff and I couldn’t. Early release is fine, I think.
The only thing I REALLY have a problem with regarding the new design is the presence of between five and ten different fonts and sizes for text at any one time. Unlike some of the other complaints here, those different fonts and sizes ACTUALLY make the page harder to visually digest. Otherwise, I’m looking forward to the adjustments over the coming hours and days.
Where are my subscriptions and how do I access them on the mobile site?
I’ll just sit here and wait until things settle down.
The look is nice and clean, but that’s just aesthetics.

black on white, mismatched fonts, shrunken user info area, post controls only showing up on hover, low contrast between elements and dividers, poor or no spacing on post elements, no emoticons, can’t edit posts more than an hour old, no controls for checking watched threads, notifications when they’re not needed, random spots of darkness, different fonts for different areas, no bbcode, no “go to unread posts” feature despite having a ridiculous number of posts per page, too easy to flag posts as off-topic (thanks OMG its a duck)

SRK was really good aside from simple things
- Server overload
- Bugs in SRK Dark (can’t use Ignore, search is fullwhite, etc)
Now instead of fixing the two simple things
You go and change the entire forum software to some ugly pile of shit that’s at best a mess and at worst unuseable
