Yeah the TE2+ is an amazing stick. Responsive, Sanwa parts and it looks great I would highly recommend it but unfortunately like president said capcom r morons so I dunno how gd it will work on PC
Would it be realistic to search for a stick builder who could make a stick with a d pad built in but with arcade buttons? I know the guys on here no longer do that build, but should I look elsewhere or do it on my own? I’d kill for one of those prototype sticks with a dpad. I kinda need one because I was born without my left hand (which fortunately makes my usage with a d pad as good as any player with an arcade stick)
I am assuming you are speaking of something like this? This was built by @rtdzign.
I am pretty sure there is someone who could help, hopefully you will find someone who willing to collaborate further to make a controller that meets your needs.
If they don’t follow that design they might find something to work for you.
My question is are you looking for a arcade fight stick or something more universal?
yes, that is what I’m talking about, but a stick with the d pad side flush with the casing of the stick would be ideal, but that seems like something anyone could fix on their own. man, if i only had 1 of these. literally the perfect controller for me
by your question an arcade stick or something more universal, I’m not exactly sure what you mean. do you mean compatibility wise? i’d want it to be as universal as possible in that regard, but i know controller adapters are great for that
Some games only use the Left analog or also needs the Right analog
Fighting games predominantly uses the D-pad, but if you want to play lets say a First person shooter you need your D-pad to work as a a analog stick.
Maybe something similar to the project here would fit your needs better
It’s funny with 1 hand I actually have an advantage in terms of the directional motions over other fg players because a fingerless nub and a d pad are a match made in heaven. The only reason I’m looking to get a d pad with arcade button setup is to play games like garou or vsav that benefit from piano rolls and button inputs of that type. Technically I already could play any game at top level with a standard controller if I practiced, it’s just you really can’t beat those big clicks arcade buttons!!
Thanks for your help, I’ll see if anyone is still up for fight stick with d pad mods
When designing a controller for someone with a physical disability, you want to take what they can and can not do in consideration.
I helped someone with only a left hand once, the end product was a flight-sim style joystick with the buttons on the joystick it self.
That didn’t go to the flight stick was made into foot pedals.
Making the flush d-pads in the case is a little difficult for me, case sculpting and epoxy putty is not my forte.
@StoneDrum I suggest starting a new thread, that might draw more people who might be interested in and able to help you out more.
I will try to point some people to this discussion here and see if they have anything to offer.
hmm… the Hori FC4 d-pad is removable and also is easy to wire up. i dont think it would be too difficult to mount it flush. The red ring has a 33.3375mm radius.
I have the first version with Kuro buttons. The silent Hayabusa is strange at first, absolutely silent (you can hear it just when you hit the gate),but generally is good. I feel better with a 2lb. spring, because the original makes the lever too light for my taste. In general the optical stick need time to get used to it,because you don’t have the tactile feel of microswitches anymore. Personally I’ve changed mine with a standard Hayabusa, just because I’m too used to that tactile feel. I didn’t test the Hayabusa buttons, but I think the foam washer to make them silent is identical in every silent buttons actually in the market,so if you tried some Sanwa Silent before you know the feeling. From what I’ve heard the Hayabusa buttons are similar in performance to the standard Sanwa OBSF-30,but you can change them later if you don’t like them.
Yeah that’s what I’m worried about, that tactile feeling on an optical stick. I think I might just wait a little and just get the Focus Attack Silencers for my existing buttons. I do prefer Sanwa buttons over anything else.
Hi you guys. Literally just now made this account to post about a converter/controller I have for sale that is lag free and works on PS4. It’s an original SEGA controller. has been tested, and works flawlessly with SFV. Purchase will be done through ebay for anyone interested. just shoot me a message on here, any questions welcome.
LMAO. +1
Man this weekend has been a sore point for humanity’s progress towards the Galactic Federation of Planets…
Mass shootings, threats, and idiots posting FT threads acting like its their own hardware.
If Aliens were looking for intelligent life on Earth, I’d say they would take the dolphins and whales off this planet…
Should fit as far as mounting it goes. These are specifically set up to be compatible with anything that normally takes japanese sticks (i.e. the jlf) . As far as wiring it goes. I think you’ll need the conversion harness it talks about in the description. Most arcade sticks around use the 5 pin plug. Since the Crown sticks have seperate connections for each microswitch you will more than likely need a harness like this one https://www.focusattack.com/187-to-5-pin-conversion-harness/ for it to be compatible
