What would be the most durable/good stick when it comes to the PCB?

I’ve had my Qanba Q1 die on me today and I’m fairly certain a faulty PCB is the one to blame here (stick still gets recognized by my PC and it claims it’s “working correctly” but no inputs are registered when I press anything. Tested the voltage on my USB cable and it’s definitely not broken). I’m quite disappointed now because I won’t be able to invest in a new stick for about a month, leaving me with my pad which I can barely even use anymore. Won’t be able to enjoy fighting games properly for a good while.

So yeah, as you might’ve guessed due to my previous statement the absolute priority is that it works on PC. Maximum price range is about $150. Any suggestion, both for a new stick or possible cause of faultiness, is welcome, really!

Well for a stick I’m not sure but my lender stick has a Toodles Cthulhu PC/PS3 PCB that’s not even strapped down well inside a TE and it’s perfectly fine after 3-4 years or so.

I’ve seen some reports here of dead cthulhu boards as well.

Yeah, I’ve been looking for swapping the PCB out with a Cthulhu one, but the issue is that I don’t live in the US and no European store seems to be selling them. Some US-based stores probably have international shipping but the final cost would come close to or even exceed a brand new Q1.

That’s a shame to hear. There’s alternative options of course, but those would exceed the price of a Q1 even without shipping costs

What about a Zero Delay Encoder PCB? Don’t those work on PC? Could just shove it in the Qanba case and then try to work on the Qanba PCB if you wanted to.

Does anyone have a reply for my previous post? I’d really like some advice before I make the jump. Thanks again!

Yeah, and unless I’m mistaken those are ready to get from eBay in Europe. Plus they’re really cheap.

I love the Atrox’s case and PCB, but I don’t know if the XBONE version is common ground, which is what you’d want for dual modding.

There are drivers for the PC for XBONE controllers, so either would work on PC with no mods. If you only play on XBONE and PC, go for the Atrox.

If you want an easy to dual mod XBONE stick, go for the TE2. The Crossbone TE2 edition makes it a snap to add a PS360+ for compatibility with everything.

Yep, like 30$ and most come with their own set of wiring harnesses too. Really cheap.

first time poster been a fan of fighting games for awhile, recently managed to get a ps3 (i know super late but responsabilites plus i was happy with my ps2 fighters and didnt realy need anything else)

that said after long sessions i definitely see the need for an arcade stick adn was wondering with the thoughts are on the hori minis? or essentially any recs on an arcade stick up to 100 maybe 150 dollars? currently searching through ebay

I would pass on the Minis.

$100 to $150 sounds like a good sized budget.
You have to going to search around till you see the stick you like for a good deal but it be worth it.
There are some decent sticks on amazon and ebay but you got to look carefully and do your homework.
You can also try your local creigslist and the trading outlet here on the forums (make sure you read the rules on the trading outlet)

Out of curiosity why pass on the minis?

Hori minis are really lacking in quality and they do not reflect on the Hori name.

Thanks for clearing that up any arcade sticks yoi would recommend me looking at in the lower hundreds or maybe even sub 100

The new mayflash v2 (not the older, cheaper one) ps3/360 stick ($60) on Amazon.

They are crap, dude.

got that cleared up lol

To all of you I spotted
Some qamba n1 and q1 sticks for under a hundred whats the verdict on those?

I would avoid them for the form factor (not much space in the casing from what I understand) and the sub par stock parts. This is the stick I mentioned, I don’t think you can beat it for the price range. http://www.amazon.com/MAYFLASH-XBOX-360-Arcade-Fighting-Stick/dp/B00NOAWLBE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421620608&sr=8-1&keywords=mayflash+v2

So far this is in the list I jsut want multiple otions just In case. I remember reading last night the wwe brawl one is also pretty good and apparently easy to upgrade. Would it be worth the exra 20 bucks?
