I better get on the hunt. Lol
Qanba Q4 RAF vs EXAR Sanwa edition
Nothing like other than the Sanwa parts.
Exar is a tiny stick
The Q4 RAF has more in common with the TE and Hrap than it does with Exar.
I’d say go with the EXAR, for portability and for picking the underdog. If you are comfortable with smaller sticks, that’s to your advantage in this case because I know a lot of people simply can’t deal with them.
In terms of aesthetics, I also prefer the EXAR. The curvyness level is relatively low, and when compared to other sticks with curvy profiles, it probably has the most subtle and tasteful (not to mention useful) one. The closer a stick is to a rectangular prism, the less I’m inclined to consider it. Symmetric acute angles get me going.
How is the Hori Fighting Stick VX? I’m thinking about getting it for my first stick ever.
The VX:SA / V3 is pretty decent, but if you just mean the basic VX arcade stick then I’d say meh… consider getting a MadCatz SE build instead. They are much easier to mod.

See this, this is the Basic VX that @gahrling is talking about, The Hori Fightstick VX. Its Meh at best. Modifiable but I would pass on it.

This on the other hand is the Hori Real Arcade Pro VX-SA, It’s good stick.
This is the Hori Real Arcade Pro V3-SA, the PS3 version of the stick.
Here is the Hori Real Arcade Pro V4 Hayabusa, the PS4 version with Hori Made Hayabusa/Kuro parts instead of Sanwa.
If you are looking for a Budget stick, like what gahrling suggested, get the Mad Catz SE
The Mad Catz store as currently (as time of writing) a Buy-one-get-one sale on the PS3 version of the KE Fight stick (uses a Korean Crown joystick instead of a Sanwa JLF)

If you have a friend who also interested, you can split the cost and both get a stick.
Not really sure where to release this info, other than here, but I have purchased and tested quite a few controllers.
The Snakebyte PS3 wired controllers (link) are not common ground.
Rock Candy PS3 wired controllers (link) are also not common ground.
Even if the only way to find this info is by google search leading to this post, I hope it can help to inform someone’s purchase in the case they are interested in dualmodding.
Still looking for a source of cost-effective (sub $10) PS3 compatible pcbs with home button functionality. Inclined to make my own.
If I remember right The Rock Candy pads are rebranded Afterglow pads.
I found that the Afterglow is not common ground so hearing that the Rock Candy pads are also not common ground is not a surprise.
I yet to find a decent game pad for the PS3 that is 1 Common Ground and 2 has Home Button Support.
Best what I found are the 3rd party, Aftermarket PCBs the FGC end up producing like the Cthulhu, Cerberus and such.
I was wondering if anyone knew any locations in Bavaria, Germany that sold sticks? APO postal services really suck. h/t Armylyfe
Referring to the Hrap V4, I have seen the thread on it, and for a first stick - are the Kuro buttons bad? I see people prefer Sanwa’s but the stick is the cheapest in amazon.uk and with SFIV being PS4/PC exclusive I thought I would consider this one. Are the buttons bad?
Hi! If I wanted a fight stick that works for everything and like the design of the Panzer Fight Stick, is it the right choice to spend $400 on the Panzer + parts, PS360+, and sending it to Gummowned to add PS4 & Xbox One support?
Perhaps you should purchase the hardware and one PCB, and only go for further modifications (current gen support) after you become comfortable with it (or get your moneys’ worth).
$400 could buy you a damn fine custom stick (or three), so hold on to that money and make sure it is going to be a good investment before you add all of that functionality without the assurance that it will be used.
The Panzer is a solid stick from Jasen Hicks and Gummo is a great modder. The whole process wouldn’t be cheap, but having everything in a single stick by two quality and respected members of SRK TT is always a good choice. You may want to contact @Gummo about the details and logistics before you get the case made from Jasen.
I was thinking of that yesterday! Maybe just get the PS360+ and play around with it for a few months and then when Ultra Street Fighter IV comes out for PS4, I’ll make the decision. Thanks a lot for the advice!
I just love the design of the Panzer and Gummo is really a talented modder. I contacted him via twitter a few days ago asking if the Panzer could hold a quadmod and he said that it should be able to and if I had any pics of the inside. I found a pic, but it’s not a very good one and I haven’t gotten a response yet. I’ll probably contact him via email in a few days.
What are/is the best stick(s) for the PS4? I got a PS4 as a very generous gift, so I figured I’d opt to buy Guilty Gear on the PS4 instead, and with games like SFV coming out on next generation consoles, I am in the market for a new one.
Been playing stick for a few years now. I own 2, which are both Madcatz (one of which is modded). I’ve played on a few various types as well, so I have a basic knowledge of sticks.
What are my best options right now?
They only options right now are the mad catz te2 and the hori v4.

Is the Hori Pro.V4 Hayabusa good? My only stick was the Super Street Fighter 4 Te S, how is it compared to that?
