I’ve gotten a few messages expressing both how Cheap Dark Phoenix and Storm are. Apparently instant overheads with storm are cheap and unfair. I didn’t know.
Building meter until you have level 5 and then using X-Fact with Dark Phoenix is pretty damn cheap, because all you have to do is mash jab and, because it’s online, your opponent won’t be able to block.
Holding the stick in the opposite direction of your opponent allows you to block incoming attacks, reducing the amount of time your character is unable to act, and significantly reducing the damage of any special or hyper used, many normals even do no damage at all if you’re blocking.
Different attacks hit at different “spots” on your body, those being low, mid, and high. If an attack is low, you must be crouch blocking ( down and away from your opponent on the control stick ) in order to block it. If an attack is high, you must be stand blocking ( holding away from your opponent, but not down ) in order to block it. Note that in the air, there is no crouch or stand blocking.
Yeah I know what blocking is, and I’m not complaining because I abuse Dark Phoenix too :). People just can’t block online and I can see that they’re trying but the netcode won’t let them.
I get called a scrub all the time using rush down characters and not lolcorner turtling like everyone does in this game. I’ve yet to get a good match really.
Still liking blazblue more, simply cause there is more give and take unlike in this game it seems. :\

Not usually too into these type of threads, but I got a couple “good game(s)” lately at least.Though today in ranked I played a “SuperGiovannni” using Dante/Akuma/Sentinel while I had Haggar/Deadpool/Arthur.
Wasn’t expecting to do well seeing Sentinel in the vs screen, but I rushed him and “one character’d” with Haggar by landing pipe attack combos up to the spinning air grab over and over,catching his assist with it once or twice. Sentinel pops out last and gets caught to about half health in mid-air combo, then the game freezes…
A minute later I get “no win for u :)” in my inbox.
Seriously? It’s only the first week, and everyone is experimenting with what they can do… you can’t expect to win all the time especially in this game. MvsC3 is jam-packed with sudden high damage and total ridiculousness… and I can’t stop playing. I honestly LOVE the chaotic nature of this game.

I’ve only gotten and sent “good game” messages so far though. I think this game is a bit better for online nerves than SSF4 because you can control the pace (if you have the right characters anyway).
Got my first rage mail tonight. Beat a guy in Player Match(non-lobby version) with my team of She-Hulk/Doom/S.Skrull. Guy was running Zero/Wolverine/X-23(how droll). Comes down to my Doom vs. all 3 of his, all with about 1/4 or so health left. I take out 23, X Factor, and spam the shit out of Plasma Beams and Photon Shields, taking the rest of his team out.
Guy doesn’t rematch of course, and then he messages me a whole freaking paragraph. Gist of it was him calling me a “projectile spamming SCRUB” and that’s the only way I can win without using combos. Funny, I thought’s that how Doom is supposed to be played? LOL.

See thats what I don’t understand. Because it was he who was in the corner because I put him there for my combo needs.
