I rarely get anything. Maybe I don’t beat people enough.
I try to send out a “Good game” whenever I can. If the player is obviously new to SF, then I don’t because that would just come off as being a jackass.
Got another message yesterday simply saying “nice games” and then a friends request.

Got some hate-mail that I more or less initiated. Player match, first match was my Dan vs. his Chun. Beats me 2-1, with a close 3rd round. Second match is my Dictator vs. his Chun. I beat him 2-0, with decently close games both rounds. Get back to lobby, and he kicks me. I msg him, “hahaha you coward.” and go on to play some rounds with a friend. About 20 minutes later I get a message back that says, “You’re too good for me. I want to get better, not get beat. Go flaunt your 1337 skills elsewhere.” I responded, “That’s why you play against more skilled players, to learn how to play the game. Of course, your world-view is intriguing: ‘When the going gets tough, give up.’”
Question: Was I wrong to msg this guy these statements after he kicked me from a 50% match percentage room?
just whupped a dhalsim user. he pulled the plug in the second round while i was mollywhopping him.
he messaged me afterwards acting as if it was me who disconnected. “wtf.” he says.
my reply got straight to the point. “you’re terrible…you’re mad…go back to training mode”
ThacubanLinx replies “lol. yea right. lol. prove it!”
i respond. “i did. you quit”
then the guy goes in a rage saying how i am too scared to play him again. some highlights include “omg. u scared b****!! LOL” and my personal favorite “u c my acheivments? i would b scared 2. lol. p****”

Judging by this thread and the dropper thread I’d say that there are alot more retards with a PS3 than a 360.

I have not gotten any hate so far,but I did play a guy the other day who played with Ken but did not do the usual bs I was using ROG and won but after that I sent him a message “you play a good Ken” and he sent back “ur are pretty good also”.

I have not gotten any flames at all yet and I have a good win rate so I guess I’m lucky. Judging from these posts I suppose its only a matter of time.
If I play someone good I always send them a nice message, I started playing player matches over ranked matches because I like being able to play someone a bunch of times in a row, when i need to drop if we were having good matches I’ll just thank them for the games and leave the lobby

I got my first hate-mail today~!
It was from a Ken scrub(imagine that), who would constantly shoryu after using hurricane kick. No matter what. Not deterred by my ten oicho throws after every blocked shoryu, he continued doing it, undoubtedly confused as to why his genius strategy wasn’t working.
So, he lost and sent me the following: “get some skill pussy”. I couldn’t figure out what to send back.
EDIT: Just now, I got another message from a Ken scrub who died the same way. In response to his being tornado thrown to death, he wrote “shit bag”. Sometimes certain comments don’t warrant a response.
I’ve only recieved hatemail once, from a Boxer player, after beating him, he sent “you got lucky” to which I replied “you can keep your fight money”
Had some other guy keep calling me a faggot for my live name and icon over the mic.

He was really good and won most matches against my Cammy. We also played a few random select matches and I got pretty lucky with the matchups.
The only time I’ve received hate mail was when I had the top spot of almost every stage in time attack mode in Mega Man 9. Some guy sent me a message where he accused me of hacking. Unfortunately I don’t have that message anymore since I upgraded my HDD and it disappeared.
